The man had it coming, if I'm being completely honest. I know is broke my heart when I learned this, cause I considered myself a fan, and it made me completely conflicted for YEARS cause though he was evil, I still adored the song Rooftops, and I resent it with every fiber of my bring.

That's what fame, power, and money do. Ian couldn't use it for good, instead he decided to bring his scariest thoughts to life, not a bit remorseful about it, it scares. He destroyed the lives of those defenseless people (and animals), destroyed himself and his loved ones, and destroyed a band that had been ridiculed all those years. He betrayed the guys from the band, because now everyone who hears about the Lostprophets band immediately perceives it with disgust. It shouldn’t have been f**кed up so crazily.… 😔

3:00 "horrified by his secret life" yeah, no, they knew a lot of what he was doing and they didn't take action to report him because it would've ended their band's success. They might not have been nearly as bad as him, but they certainly weren't good enough people to stop him. The fact that he was killed in prison is too little too late. Too many lives were ruined by his disgusting actions.

I'm completely emotionless and can perfectly understand the gloating. He himself "made sure" that absolutely no normal people would mourn him. When I heard about this several years ago, I decided to listen to a couple of songs of Lostprophets purely out of curiosity. They were good songs, but it was the first and last time I listened to them, because I can't properly appreciate songs, no matter how great they are, considering what this man did. Considering the sentence he received, it's no surprise he never got out of prison; it was only a matter of time

Don't get me wrong, I'm not sad he's dead, or killed so brutally. Ian was a despicable person, and I hope they buried him underneath the prison. But I am sad just because of the band's history having to end with "the singer dies in prison for crimes that no one in their right mind would imagine". They deserved much better. Lostprophets was once one of my favorite bands and an inspiration to my early music. I would even say Ian was once a singing inspiration. Now it feels wrong to say that, and I can't help that it hurts a little.

I can't help but like their music. I was a huge fan until he revealed himself to be a monster. For me, it's impossible to stop liking songs I'm already in love with. This is much easier to do with actors, athletes, movies, TV shows, etc., but with music alone, it's completely impossible for me. When I love a song, it practically becomes part of my DNA. So for me, when I rarely listen to Lostprophets again, I simply try to dissociate from reality, take my mind to another dimension where none of these horrible things happened, or lie to myself that the singer I'm listening to isn't that demon. I know that forgetting and letting go is easy for many people, but for me, it simply won't happen, at least not in terms of music.

Good riddance. He was only serving 29 years. He probably drove the prisoners insane since he was known to boast and tell others what he did with no remorse. Imagine waking up next to him every day of your life. Listening to him. Hearing his deeds and thoughts on them. It would drive anyone mad.
