More Perfect Union is an Emmy-winning, nonprofit newsroom whose mission is to build power for working people. Here’s what that means: We report on the real struggles and challenges of the working class from a working-class perspective. We attempt to connect those problems to potential solutions. We report on the abuses and wrongdoing of corporate power. And we seek to hold accountable the ultra-rich who have too much power over America’s political and economic systems.

Pete endorsed both Brett Smiley as Providence Mayor in RI and Luke Bronin for Congress in CT, both over the clear progressive picks (David Morales and John Larson)… Not sure why MPU is giving him the podium when he is actively seeking to shoot down leftist candidates

Just so we get this out of the way, the Trumpworld nickname for him will be something along the lines of "Butt plug". Nobody will take this guy seriously on the right. There are no moderate republicans that are going to come save you.

Isn't this the guy who justified corruption, let airlines get away with billions in fraud, does the bidding for the health care industry, is pro Israel, and was used to pull votes from Bernie Sanders when he was running for president.

Pete was amazing, and I especially liked that he talked about his push for reforms for the past 8 years, and especiallty to the Supreme Court. Sad that many in the comments believed the lies told about Pete during that time, and that they clearly didn't pay attention to the fact that he was the most pro-consumer and pro-union worker DOT secretary we have ever had. Some of his former Progressive critics in the industry admitted they were wrong about him and they continue to stay in touch to this day.

I thought more perfect union was about being anti establishment and anti corruption? Platforming Pete goes against this. You should be calling this hypocrisy out and showing how corrupt this guy is.

Ugh, “the debt that’s grown so big that even the left can’t ignore it”
Yeah, all we need is to listen to another economically illiterate debt hawk about the enormous national debt. The guy hasn’t bothered to read Stephanie Kelton’s The Deficit Myth ? Sheesh.

Never. Going. To. Happen. You were a nobody mayor. You were only gifted the Transportation Secretary position to be a good boy and drop out to kneecap Bernie. What did you do with it? How did that go? East Palestine happened, the FAA System Outage in Jan 23 happened, the Southwest Airlines holiday meltdown stranding millions, and you went on vacation in Portugal during the 2022 railroad labor dispute. We need a progressive in 28, not a centrist with a resume consisting of failed Transportation Secretary, small town mayor, and McKinsey help me choose who to fire consultant.
