This Halloween spooky season, we explore an oft-overlooked cryptid. Sure, Bigfoot, The Loch Ness Monster, Yeti: you get what’s going on there. But what’s a Mothman? He does something with prophecies? He flies around? He was alluded to in an X-Files episode? We’ll dive into the lore and see if we can figure out what he is and why we’re supposed to care.

We’re Chris W. Smith and Jack De Sena (aka Chris & Jack). We’ve been friends for years and love making high-quality, high-concept sketch comedy. Chris is an occasional Blue Man in Blue Man Group. As a voice actor, Jack played Sokka in Avatar the Last Airbender and Callum in the Dragon Prince. At the beggining of the skit I thought it was a made up character and the joke was about the video starting with a very confusing situation, being meta. As the video went on I started to suspect it was a real character and I googled it. Yeah, the lore is all over the place.

6:03 – whats crazy is this is actual sound psychology. Most people are unsatisfied in life because what success is and who they should be has primarily become a result of external stimuli that we as humans have basically lost our ability to look introspectively and see what we need and want for ourself instead of thinking we need what others tell us we need to be fulfilled
