A couple days ago I posted my review for the G’AIM’E Time Crisis Plug-n-Play, and got quite a few questions about my shooting accuracy during gameplay. Firstly, I’m not great at gun games, but more importantly, my attention was split pretty severely between playing the game and trying to stay in frame to record the play session in some meaningful way. I found myself getting too close to the TV several times – the gun needs to always be able to see the whole TV in order to triangulate position and I wasn’t doing it any favors.

I could have cherry-picked my footage and only shown segments where I was picking off targets more easily (mostly later in my play session), but knew that would be dishonest, so you got the footage I shot – warts & all.

That being said, I wanted to prove to myself most of all (I guess to those questioning my honesty as well) how accurate this lightgun is when eliminating all of those “shooting a video” variables that I felt contributed to my poor shooting.

Reading the comments, there are lots of people asking for a short vid with no crosshair and this guy refuses to do it. He even has a promo link to buy the game in his description. Says everything you need to know about the aiming in this. It's absolute garbage and you shouldn't buy.

If he really wants to convince us he should be glad to show us some gameplay with no crosshair. All this video did was prove he's capable of point and click, which has nothing to do with how well the gun aim is. Fact he's refusing to do it says everything you need to know.

As someone who claims to be a big Time Crisis fan and then proceeds to use the reticle, shoot incredibly slowly and get hit by the hooks, it appears you are lying about being a big Time Crisis fan and more damning, this appears to be laggy / inaccurate. With the reticle on you should have been way faster and a better shot to boot.

Based on comments and my own experience, my recommendation is to make sure you read the return policy very carefully, just in case. I'm glad some are reporting that the gun is accurate for them. It is not for me. Watching/rewatching videos on YT and the Gaime website did not help me dial in the accuracy. So, be aware there are mixed results. I will continue to look for a true plug and play light gun experience with 100% accuracy–this Gaime gun does not have that for me. Maybe you will be luckier. ADDENDUM: During calibration, all my shots hit the bulls eyes dead center. The disappointment came when I played the actual games. Not sure why there is a difference but there is.

Can now confirm accuracy is excellent with this device. Just finished time crisis in 16 minutes 8th on the arcade high scores list. Shot 75% in stage one also. Those sitting on the fence should pick it up and not be put off by negative reviews. Cheers.

Not only this guy has a sponsored link but he is basically aiming with his sight, it's a point & click game. Do you really need to know anymore on why he want you to think this product is good? Because i made a honest review and this thing is bullcrap

I'd be happy with the accuracy on this video. I used to have to play time crisis with a ps1 controller, so this looks better. Been a little concerned about the accuracy after hearing so many complaints about it

once i saw you do a few single shot kills, then get hit by 2 hooks in a row (lol) i could tell the gun was pretty accurate. appreciate the follow up video.

Do you reckon you could do a video of it without the crosshair on and just picking your shots? I and many would just like to see it anyway. Thanks mate

I received my unit last week. It’s not accurate, I’ve run many tests and it varies wildly mid play, also it’s very laggy. Playing point blank is near impossible. I’ll aim using iron sights line up a head shot in Time Crisis and the shot will be way off. Takes 3 bullets to hit anything most of the time, can’t get accuracy over 38% – and I’m not that bad! Played Time Crisis loads in the a arcade and on PS1 back in the day – this is such a disappointment it makes be sad 🙁

I’ve re-calibrated, taken my time doing it and it still doesn’t work properly. Played is darkness, low light you name it….

The production is of a high standard very premium feeling but I wish the software worked as intended. Some other points, sounds is a bit “tinny” and there is no interpolation so there is shimmer on the image.

Maybe an update to fix it?

I appreciate this videos….and while not perfect, I would be very interested in a HOTD system, but preferably upgradable with more games.
I think this is a a great plug and play model for more casuals like myself that play occasionally on weekends and when the guys are over for poker night.

appreciate you doing a follow up. Its good to know this is available at retail so its relatively low risk to try it on your own setup if youbuy from somewhere with a good return policy
