    Thank you so much for this!! I was obsessed with this song as a kid playing the sims 2. I thought all the songs were fake or made up artists until I discovered Paramore IRL lol! But when I tried to find Kitty Shack, I came up blank!! Think about it from time to time!

    This mystery is sloved but the other mystery is whi was the person pretending to be the fake kitty shack doing lawsuit level stuff of copyright infringement cause the other half that needs solving

    When investigated it I found keeley hawks lol about 3 years ago mine weak search actually was good and accurate I just didn’t have a way to Verify it Wow I actually feel pretty good😅

    There are tons of these performers in Sims games, that were obscure unknown to the public, people from around the world.
    I was digging out some European pop singers that even in their home country they were unknown even tho they have high quality music videos and production on their songs one would think you would see it every day on TV but no one know them. Most obviously lost in time by now but in general they were ''nobodies'' even back then.

    With few known people thrown into a mix especially with later DLC to spice up the roster. After all you dont have a budget to include every known artist so they needed to make cuts.

    The irony being that most these Sims singers and musicians from back in a day (can apply to lots of other games too) no matter the genre, were session people or local bands that actually never had experience with the genre they sang or play out, some were not even into music as a career but more like a hobby or one two times deal.

    These are their common replies: ''It was another paid job quick and easy money, the studio producer said take it easy don't overthink it, treat it as a parody and just sing in ghiberish, so we did. We didn't even knew what game was for at the time nor the word simlish was ever even mentioned. We did multiple of these projects at random times for different clients. We got a call, did it if we had time and moved on from it, it was another quick job that we did to survive, because big bills in a big city need to be paid fast.''

    Ofc some would state how they had a simlish language coach which for most part isn't true. They pumped out these the fastest they could and moved on, the game needed to be made. And the final result speaks for it self, most songs make no sense, musically so as liricly because if you even try to translate it you will get 5% nonsense while the 95% are words that don't even exist in simlish but were made up on the spot.

    The only ones that had a simlish coach was years later in TS3 era onwards but even then you will get nonsense translations, like someone wrote the lyircs while having a stroke. Even tho ironically most mainstream songs became just that anyway.

    I spoken to some and read all about it and lots of people couldn't care less for their involvement in sims since their music background is in completely different genre or their career are not even in music.

    I’ve been playing Kitty Shack – Another World all of my childhood when I played the Sims 2 .I have always searched and wondered who is this angelic singer? Now my childhood mystery is solved! 🥰

    lol Whang, Sims Wiki updated their information, and linked it to here, to you. Sadly, there is no English version of Another World. regardless thank you for solving this mystery.

    I just downloaded Sims 3 this month and love the music. I just love her voice and this whole era. y'all she's a VERY accomplished writer (for Jordin Sparks etc) and singer (Disney, Barbie movies) so it's not surprising she almost forgot about this session lol
