I love the Melvins and Buzzo but come on man, Dave Grohl made a point to call and invite you to something and you're pretending he's the bad guy?

Buzzo is a right-winger. He was interviewed by Gavin McGinnes about "anti-woke" shit. He thinks conservatism is "rebellion". Another old man who says he "isn't political" but only spouts right-wing garbage and cries "cancel culture" because he isn't as relevant as he wished he was. Super lame because Melvins are dope.

I've seen the Melvins twice. Both times, the music was great although overtly confrontational and both times, I thought they really didn't want to be there. Buzz's attitude onstage was hard to understand as an audience. I interpreted it as the front rows were doing something to agitate him. I knew almost nothing about him or the band other than the band's name had pedigree and that had earned them big respect from walking and talking strong for decades.

Buzz maybe got his teenage angst out of his body, during his teenager years. But he clearly kept his teenage "pseudo nonchalant attitude" mixed with "juvenile bitterniss" ,till today.
Hes the guy that says that dosent care about success, but they (melvins) should have sold millions of albuns, in the same sentence.
He always tried very hard to act like hes not jeoulous of other bands success, but the way he talks always shows the opposite.
The fake laughs, the smugness, the down putting speech.
Acting like "youre" against the "rockstart" behavior, while sucking kiss giant egos diks, just because they invaited the melvins to do some shows, says it all.
Truths? He never spooke truths, he take shoots at people/bands.
If nu metal is just fnm mixed with helmet (pathetic take btw), melvins are just black sabbath with black flag. Still the guy acts like he invented fire….smh.
Still love melvins music, but a silent buzz is a better buzz.

Imagine watching everyone walk away with millions off of a sound you helped pioneer. 45 years later and you’re not even worth a million😂. You’d be pissed off too.

It was majestic to FINALLY get to see Melvins live in Glasgow a few years ago. One of my top 10 bands to draw, paint or sculpt to. Awesome body of work and that's what really counts. Cheers for making this one! 🌞✌️🫀🧠✌️🌞

I met Buzz AND Rob Zombie in San Francisco back in the late 1980s/early 1990s. We used to see Buzz around the Haight Ashbury area sometimes back then with the Melvins, just walking around. I had friends who were friends with him. Always chill and down to earth. I worked at the IBEAM back then, the hot venue on Haight Street in the 80s and early 90s. White Zombie came on the tour for their second album. Rob Zombie was a dork….he literally laughed like Beavis and Butthead. Very unsure of himself, not very confident. I was surprised. In a chatrooim I have, about 3 years ago I knew someone inthere went to highs school with Rob in Pennsylvania, maybe? Cant remember. Anyway….he tells me he went to high school with Rob Zombie, and I reply he's a dork, he laughs like Beavis and Butthead. He just starts laughing…he says no way you did meet Rob hahaha. So I 100% know, from personal experience, what Buzz says about Rob Zombie is 100% true.

Yeah, remember that time he went on a Proud Boys podcast and had the dumbest takes like calling n4z1sm leftist because "it's right on the name, man, national SOCIALIST!!!" (And then scrapped it off internet). He used to be smart and keep his grifter opinions to himself but nowadays his ego took control, but it's ok because he has a funny laugh and looks like a chubby Troll doll. And makes kickass music in heavy genres (mediocre "I can play any genre" incursions aside). Dale is the guy, tho.

I like Buzzo and the Melvins, however…
Buzzo strikes me as the kind of guy with all the intensity, rebellion, and honesty of being a late-pubescence male but without any of the wisdom or temperance of being an adult. If he did, he could be the Christopher Hitchens of the music world.
