Kimi K3 is blowing my mind too. Compared it on my own tasks (mainly html/js based simulations) this evening versus 5.6 sol and fable 5 high, and damn does it hold it's own and even excels!

I guess, when ability saturates, Trust becomes more important when selecting what to use. I guess US Government lost control over the edge, outside US. Next -> US Citizens -> Abundance degradation arc (harder to get access to edge releases and might be blocked from using Chinese releases in the Future)? 🤔

I tried it out. It thought for 20+ minutes, then gave me a good review of an implementation plan doc. It cost 2% weekly quota on 40$ Kimi plan. Yeah, it might be good. But it costs as much as working with Sol/Terra and is slower. This is hardly a revolution on the "market", especially seeing how Kimi subscription is a data mine – they steal all your code (yea yea, other labs probably do it to but in whiter gloves) – but yes it is very nice to see open weight models reach this capability. Sadly no one will be able to run this locally.

Can't wait for new memory layers and TTC to make gigantic models a relic at some point.
Where the only thing that matters is reasoning, memory and modular knowledge plugins.
A future where large models only have any value maybe, as some ultra-frontier scientific push with a model that can know pretty much everything and have unparalleled cross-domain understanding.
I want a focus on 120B and smaller models really, but whatever, as long as Open Source is keeping up, it's good.

I used this today and I didn't like it at all. I gave it six C++ tasks that would have taken Opus 4.8 40 minutes. It took two hours and 20 minutes. It wasn't done with all six. I canceled it before it got done. Half of them wouldn't work and had to be rewritten so yeah whoever thinks that this is as good as fable is crazy. It's not
