Kaliningrad: A Russian Stronghold in the Heart of Europe | ENDEVR Documentary

Watch ‘Propaganda Princess Kim Yo-Jong: North Korea’s Face of Fear’ here: https://youtu.be/aVOCAu8CmjQ

Located between Poland and Lithuania on the Baltic Sea, Kaliningrad is a Russian enclave in the heart of Europe that has become a heavily militarized stronghold facing NATO. Home to the Russian Baltic Fleet and advanced missile systems, the region plays a key strategic role in the ongoing tensions between Russia and the West.

Gaining rare access, journalists enter this isolated territory, where economic sanctions are biting and daily life is shaped by state propaganda. While most residents support the war, a younger generation quietly questions the regime.

Located between Poland and Lithuania on the Baltic Sea, Kaliningrad is a Russian enclave in the heart of Europe that has become a heavily militarized stronghold facing NATO. Beyond Kaliningrad, neighboring Baltic states are preparing for potential conflict. In Lithuania, civilians train for war, while in Latvia, efforts to distance the country from its Soviet past are fueling tensions with the Russian-speaking minority.

From a fortified enclave to anxious neighboring states, the film explores a region on edge, where history, identity, and geopolitics collide.

Take note of soviet mindset @ 33:18
They want to live in peace
outrage at the way Poland, Lithuania and Europe
have curtailed the beer and travel, but soviets
still agree with war against its neighbours.

OMG i am surprised and somewhat aghast that Latvia/Lithuania and Russia didn't strike a civilised deal for (i) the repatriation to Russian soil across the border of those unwelcome Russian monuments, (ii) repatriation to Russia of all those Russophiles too old, unwilling or unable to adjust to being a minority & willing to exit, and (iii) improved pro-social welfare measures for those over 50 yrs old Russophiles, suffering from poverty and social isolation etc. Call then 'transitional' measures! Nothing gained from being mean to older citizens suffering the consequences of being 'on the losing side' of history! But that said, it would be smart to learn enough of the local language to pass whatever tests the Govt imposed to ensure access to whatever array of social benefits and measures that could be otherwise withheld and not breach EU laws, eg a passport! I am also surprised that Russia doesn't grant these 'Refusenik's a Russian passport, obtainable on their first visit across the border; the Baltics could hardly deny them re-entry with that 'extra passport' in their possession! Silly games methinks!

I love it when these documentary's call it State TV. It is no different here in the US, we have local news which gives information about your immediate area sure, then we have Nightly News, World News and of course Fox, MSN and CNN. But all state owned. You wont get any real information or investigation news on these stations.

If russians who live in Latvia don't want to learn Latvian, they should move to russia. If they want to live in Latvia, just learn Latvian. It's not rocket science, it's not discrimination. When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

Only way they threat Europe is by deleting themself in record speed at the fronts. Just like in 1500 they run with no regard straight into gun fire, thinking they are Soviet masters of fighting. Kung Fu masters at a MMA event.

46:54 The State of Latvia has the right to put requirements that it’s citizens must speak the language. And most likely they offer free language classes. To become a citizen of most countries of the world including Russia you must be able to speak the native language of that country.

45:18 I think If President Trump try to prevent the speaking of Spanish in USA banks and government buildings, he will be called a racist. Isn’t this the same thing is being done in Latvia ?. A blatant attack on a specific group of people because of their ethnicity. In Belgium which is also an EU there are 3 official languages . Did the USSR forced the Baltic States, Poland or East Germany to speak Russian. It is clear that we westerners are hypocrites.

The Russians living in the Baltic States should not complain if they are fined for speaking Russian in public! The Russians forced millions of people to speak Russian in Eastern Europe. Teachers in underground scools teaching their native languages to pupils were deported to Siberia! The Russians living in the Baltic States should consider themselves lucky they aren't all deported to Russia!

It's crazy how people in our times still don't know it's better not to trust one's government in any country and think for oneself i stead of agreeing with the rich and powerfull

But the news is also state sanctioned in Europe and USA. Each country has its own agents that work for each country’s media. What is wrong with being proud of your country? Many in Europe and USA wish they could be.

its kind of funny. like of cource russia tels its people they should sing national anthem and be proud of russia. like USA is doing thr same. I understand that in todays times when there is was in ukraine it may looks like brainwashing but look , usa did the same thing when they invaded iraq , auganistan, there were toys for children of US soldiers fighting in iraq , its all thew same for all the world powers but we are suposed to be shocked when russia does it. its theyr land.. what did u expect…. thiskind of documentaries are here to brainwash people and make them think in black and white. no information given, just to make one side bad for the same reasons other side is fine
