Regarding Trump being funny, you have to admit, that at least he is (unintentionally) funny enough to talk about him every week. Well, there is a nuance though, it could be an American version of a movie "Mr. Bean goes for president".

Trumps joke was so dumb anyway. It's like he doesn't know how conjunctions work. "And" is not "while". "Do A and B" doesn't mean to do A and B at the same time. It's a sequence. "Go into the kitchen and make dinner"; "Come over here and say hello". The joke is lame because it requires a contrived reading in order to work. Most dad joke purveyors would balk at it. Why are most of his jokes dependent on a degree of illiteracy? Is it him or his audience, or is it both?
