When he was listing all the school shooting and other public shootings, and the list got longer and longer, I swear the hair on the back my neck stood up. It’s so scary to realize just how often this happens. 😢

On the rights willingness to throw out the constitution…..Amen Jon! Your right we should be protecting all of our constitution which can be done with some minor gun laws! Too bad they only care when a lobbyist donates to them.

Only objection I have to this bit is it does matter who's "team" the mass killers are on. Because the only time a right winger wants anything done is when it can be used to hurt the team(s) they hate by blaming the Others.
When it's someone explicitly riled up for one of their causes, and that's what it is most of the time, they do nothing, because they don't want to do anything about it. They think it's fine.

After the 1996 mass shooting in Port Arthur, Australia, the Aussie government implemented strict gun laws. The effects of these laws?
– Between 1979 and 1996, Australia experienced 13 mass shootings; from 1997 to 2018, there were zero.
– The decline in the rate of gun deaths doubled.
So, yes. Gun deaths should be politicized. The lack of polticial will isn't because their constituents don't want sensible gun reform, but because donors don't.
