The five members of Armored Saint, along with Lars Ulrich from Metallica, were in a suspicious car accident in lead singer John Bush's car, in Los Angeles, early to mid 80's. The car that all six of them were in was rear-ended.
All five of Armored Saint sued and won money in court. Lars Ulrich refused to sue, and wanted No part of a lawsuit. Later Lars would go on to mega fame and fortune selling and earning millions!

For all you people doubting this story.. Take it from someone who went to every Saint gig he could. Including one of their first. My Jr High school assembly (best one ever!!!). Then the next week I ditched @ lunch. Drove to South Pasadena High, my future school (& Dave's). To see them play @ the outdoor food court. The accident did happen. At the time both bands were only known in Cali.

Armored Saint. Saw them at the Country Club in LA back in the mid 80s. Lead singer kicked a fan in the face from the stage.

This Accident sounds like the unknown Story Of Dave Mustaine falling asleep at the Wheel Running the Metallica U Haul off the side of a Snowy Icy Highway Road In Laramie , Wyoming in below Zero Winter / Spring Blizzard Weather in March 1983 . Mount Baldy , California is known / infamous as a Treacherous Mountain to Drive in all Seasons . So Tommy Lee came out of this brutal accident unscathed ? I saw motley spew in New Haven..w faster pussycat…who pretty much got booed off the stage. Tommy had a drumset that went along tracks on the ceiling of new haven colluseum…so after an exceptionally lame solo Tommy yells
" Hey new haven..check this shit out" & he jumped off….was about 50/60 ft above the floor..he wasn't 5 feet from the riser and it was pretty obvious the bungie he was strapped to was waaaayyy to long!! He hit the floor like a bag of fish and the bungie never even stretched!!! That was the end of that show!! Lmao. Armored Saint…KILLER!!!!

The girl who owned the car made a mistake lending her ride (and therefore her insurance coverage) to Tommy, because his crash counts as an at-fault accident on HER Insurance record. Rates through the roof for years.
