Hey guys! big fan of your channel and long time listener. This Va band Shovelhead A.D. released an album not to long ago call Timeless Old I think you would like. Much more of a LoG or Pantera or early Metallica type thing but pretty damn brutal. Think you would dig it. Thanks brotha ❤

Sounds like a more polished Wallflower, yet this just didnt click other than a few tracks. Tantrum and Rogue are sick but buried by alot of aimless, boring tracks.

Jinjer is a rare band that always rewards its loyal audience by expanding and improving their musical taste. Each Jinjer album has own sound and musical aspect. It's really hard to compare each other but you can say this one is a step forward from Wallflowers. Excluding the first ep, Jinjer albums can be only classified as good or very good in my opinion. Duel is definitely one of their very good ones like 2 previous albums..

I have been a Jinjer fan since Cloud Factory, but this album really didn't hit for me. It feels like they found a sound that works for them and that a lot of people connect with, but that doesn't work quite as well for straight-up metalheads like me. Like other people here in the comments, I also saw them live in the most recent South American tour, and I'm very glad I got that experience since I've been listening to their songs for years, but imagine my surprise when they didn't play any of their Wallflowers hits in that show! It was my favorite album, and it feels so weird to me that they're abandoning the sound I've come to love them for. I hope they keep having success, as they're incredible musicians and clearly work really hard, but they're not a band for me anymore.

Duel is a really fun listen. Anyone who is looking for a great companion piece to this album should check out Erasure of Color by Aversed, which came out on Friday via M-Theory Audio. Picture Jinjer, but with melodic death metal riffing rather than djent/groove. Their vocalist, Sarah is fantastic voice in metal as well! I cannot recommend it enough!

It's fine, but doesn't have the same punchiness as previous Jinjer material.

Hey there, Sam. I saw Jinjer live in Brazil a few months ago and they were great but this album didn't catch my attention as well as Micro/Macro and King of Everything.
