I can't believe that you still support this band, after all what came out about how they treating women. It's a shame that still people giving them traction and a possibility to earn money. And for all the people who wanna saying an judge said he's unguilty. That's wrong, the judges only said it's now allowed for shelby to bring up the accusations because she couldn't prove that it's right was she were saying. And that's a system failure that victims have to proof that they are victims.

Right now, before watching this, Im thinking the beats and fills can’t be that hard. I know this song, but never really paid attention to the drums

These really are my favorite Drumeo challenges: Where they really get inventive and curious and take big swings at a different feel/tone/time/style/etc for even fairly straightforward tracks. I can't play an instrument to save my life, but I can relate in ways comparable to my own abilities in other domains, especially with overthinking things…up to the point where you finally throw all of that shit out and trust your intuitions and skills, and just flow. That's why Jess Bowen's vids (this and RATM) have been particularly compelling to watch for me.

I'm also glad to NOT see so much of the "how has she never heard this?" shit in the comments this time around. Last time I looked at the horizon, it was still a round world, and it's frankly refreshing to see a musician who isn't inundated with the "standards" of rock/metal from the last 3-4 decades. That's how you get performances that come at the material from left field, y'know?

Theres no way she's never heard Du Hast…. She been living under a rock her whole life? This has gotta be staged AF.
Also, nice to know in her world, only the snare and hi-hat exist for a industrial track that hits harder than just about anything anyone's ever heard and she's batting at it like an infirm kitten. BASH THAT SHIT! READ THE ROOM!

I was almost expecting her to do a full Copeland and switch to a regular back beat during the last chorus. Would've been such a sick build up. Super cool version anyhow.

If one understands German it would be easier to get the word play in the lyrics which gives you more idea where the highlights are intended to be, but Jess is pretty cool so it's compensated with talent and charisma.

Christoph Schneider plays open handed on this song and I think that's a key in how he keeps the beat on the snare while the pattern on the toms. Great version by Jess.

I tought she hits the snare one time less than the original… well, i guess her Version was THAT good, that i totally forgot the original… Awesome job.

Doesn’t know the band behind the “best show on earth something you must see before you die”? … yeah, right 😂

I like it, that she easily admits, that is hard for her to learn. If you are not used to kind of style in drumming it is never easy…well unless you are estevario siberiano😅but even he says: it is a matter of practice, and that is it what it is all about- i think she did great and i can cleary see AND HEAR her extraordinary skills🥰

If they got her with Bulls on Parade and Du Hast, t
You have to wonder how far they could push their luck. Smells Like Teen Spirit? Wonderwall? Billie Jean?
