Beauty? You have to be kidding. It sounds like a 10 year old after maybe 3 months of piano lessons. No flow, no rhythm, no touch, no pedal and especially no coordination between the left and right hands.. The only decent thing about it is you used a good quality piano sample to play it.

TFW you're too young to remember every decades old abstraction of musical sound into alphanumeric syntax (a la Score)…so you try to invent the wheel from scratch instead of standing on the shoulders of true giants in the field of music and AI. Def fun vids, tho'. Just: the solution is outdated by about 30 years. I do, however, applaud the undeniable spirit of a young, curious, and legit tinkerer.

It's fun that you have put together a methodology to use an LLM to compose music. It does not feel like music however. What is needed now is a ton of music theory rules to guide its choices better. Not all musician "know" music theory – they FEEL that theory naturally. AI isn't gonna do that, so just feed it everything about music theory. Then feed it 50,000 example of good jazz and let it get an idea of the make up of "good". Then run it again and it might start sounding actually good (as opposed to being sorta music-like. Fun vid. and, thanks.

This sounds… well… random boring and soulfree. There were composition programs without AI since the 70s which could create output like that.
AI is more powerful than this.

The process was very interesting. I like how it can facilitate collaboration but the music wasn't anything that grabbed me. It sounded like jazz but the melodies were mostly random and no theme or groove. I wish the same prompt was handed to each model so you could compare their choices a bit more. Because each model was given different prompts you can't judge anything about the models other than what they wrote for their prompt. I think this could be useful if the models were given smaller decisions like reharmonize or voicings decisions. Alternate groove patterns to see if they can keep the groove without murdering the feeling.

This is definitely more interesting than the previous experiments, but this first music sounds like ChatGPT is forgetting what the rhythm of the music is every two or three notes, then changes the idea and gets a gap that is excruciating and makes no sense. So this is jazz, but there is no rhythm.

Truly Nice! But it's a bit tricky and complex task to tweak every single piece of the sound. Good for those who are really mad to keep full control over every aspect and piece of the sound. What to say about other approatches to compose AI-comped Jazz. Think about the concept that evolve into a Baby birth. When you do just a piece of work and the rest 9 month it evolves into a Live Beauty, almost on the fly and autopilot and finally you can see the eyes, hear the voice of this Beauty and feel and communicate with it. Is just a tool people. Just like Photoshop, etc. Relax. It´s how you use it. Musician´s Ego and pride are bigger than all the AI industry put together. AI made music and human made music are 2 totally different worlds. It´s just funny how the voice and presentation style aches the "Oooh WOW!" tone and character when color TV was introduced, the young Steve Jobs hyping up the rosy future of how computers would transform our lives or how the internet would bring us all together to sing Kumbaya. Humans will always be such an easy pray. Wait till we get visitors from out there. We must be with 99% certainty the most primitive form of intelligence in the whole universe, yet we think we´re so far ahead.
