this is SOOOO NASTY 🤯 i’m not a korn fan but this song is a banger that transcends genres, and he proved that with every hit he made. and this was the only take?! unnnbelievable.

i never could have imagined a slow, filthy freak on a leash (believe it or not!), and i loved every single part of it. the way he opens it up and overwhelms you with the big fills that he handles like a marionette and then mellows right back down without stuttering all over the place is hypnotic. and his sincere love and appreciation for the music throughout, combined with his warmth and humility, is very touching.

i’m also going to be selfish and say i wish he’d done a few more so we could see what he would have felt differently after a listen or two, but i have an immense amount of respect for somebody who performs like this and declines “trying again.” this was pure, raw emotion; it’s heavy, it’s thick, it’s a bit messy, it’s unapologetic, and it’s my favourite type of music in the world. my desire is purely greed — i just want to hear more and more and MORE of him pouring his heart out.

this may be my favourite episode of this series. impeccable work everybody 🙏

Never heard of this guy before- love his attitude- now I want to check out more of his work (though I have seen Wynton live way back in the day and do own "Trio Jeepy" from Branford Marsalis.

Fun Fact: David Silveria was a heavily influenced drummer prior to joining Korn. Cites Primus was one of his favorites growing up. He’s literally the definition of a jazz drummer gone metal drummer, and that’s why Korn will never sound the same ever again.

Wow…. this is the best one yet. He just goes for it, the way it's supposed to be done…. and does a pretty good job on a super challenging song

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it! His sense of music is incredible! Jazz is very complex, and it's difficult for a musician to interpret it without disrupting a composition they haven't heard before.

I love this channel, and have seen every video. I am blown away by all the positive comments.
If you would have told me this guy never sat behind a drumset in his life, I would believe you. Didn't get ONE time signature.
