Let’s do some math: Trump wants to give $5K to every adult voters in the US. That amounts to: $5k x 270 million adult voters = $1.3 Trillion. The US budget is already earmarked by Congress for other things….so the only place to find more money is from trump’s illegal tariffs. But unfortunately for him, several independent accounting firms have projected that the total 2026 tariff ‘windfall” will only amount to $173 billion…and that is gross, after the money that has to be returned to corporations, per the Supreme Court ruling, trump would need more tha 10x the projected tariff tariff windfall to pay voters.
