It's not AI or phones. Although that may not help.
But the education system (at least in the US) has been facing constant sabotage since adobe the Regan era.

5:57 Its just not correct though about problem solving and digitaal literacy. Reports are that Gen Z is often incompetent when it comes to using common business software like excel or power point or jira or other tools that aren't simple short form content/easy aapps. If Gen Z were becoming truly and substantively digitally literate, I would expect them to easily learn and adapt to software tools and quickly surpass previous generations, but they are not.

it's because of modern technology making sure that Gen Z doesnt ever have to think for themselves
Even if we removed Ai where a program thinks for us, we still have google where billions of other people across the world think for us
the only Gen Zers who are not getting dumber are those who are aware of this very issue and are taking action

I believe Covid has made everyone stuck at what age they were for those two years and we are now seeing the effects of kids being the classes that don’t fit their psychological age

Yes, they freaking are. My daughter just graduated college last month and has dropped every friend she had before college except one. They seem brainless to her and she found trying to converse with them completely silly and exhausting. She feels that she's in a completely different place in life.

I am in Generation Z and I must say that I am disappointed with the decent in IQ. I always grew up on books and most Generation Alpha kids can’t even read a book.
