Honestly, fuck that guy. That entire mentality would serve to turn this already shit website into a Shorts machine. Fuck me… Imagine spending the limited time that you have on this Earth trying to 'optimise' the literal soul out of other people's art. Fucking scumbag.

Erik rocks and is the absolute best at what he does. I watch each episode all the way through, I won't watch filtered slop by some tech guy with too much time on his hands.

I ate a lot before watching this video and lied in my bed in a half-asleep coma, just to never fully fall asleep while my mind projected hundreds upon hundreds of ways to creatively insert ads inside a video for about two hours. It was neither hell or heaven – it was a purgatory of this channel's own making. 10/10 recommend.

Its confusing because i feel like this video is subjectively funnier if they do use sponsor block and skip basically the whole video so some people just watch erik saying random shit… even more random shit. But its also the opposite of the videos point

Tools claim they’re heroes saving audiences from authors but it’s a chain of negativity and scapegoating. But that’s what America wants, someone else to blame for everything. It’s bad attitude

Hi Erik. Maybe it's true, maybe you have the best sponsored segments around and I am missing out big time on S-tier content. Maybe your sponsored segments are the best parts of your videos, and watching them would bring me unprecedented joy. Unfortunately for me, I just don't give enough of a fuck to care about what's on the other side. Also, I get a nice kick of dopamine every time sponsorblock kicks in, knowing that I just skipped a huge ad without needing to remove either of my hands from the loving warmth of my sack. I put this video on two times speed and laid all the way back, I knocked it out in less than five minutes! That's an achievement in my book, and I couldn't have done it without you. That being said, I didn't learn anything from this lesson, so thanks for wasting my time. Fuck you.

Does sponsorblock fool the ad agency into thinking the user viewed the ad? If so, then i see no problem with it, but if the sponsor can detect it and not pay you, then i see the issue with using it. I didn't even know it was a thing until now. But if it fools the sponsor and you still get paid, then fuck'em.

I watch all your in video ads because you make ads watchable and your comedy is funny so I like it. I just miss when you had long hair and were a firm Believer in GOD. You were more nonchalant and you were More Christian and I miss that Erik… this Erik is okay but it’s not the same Erik I remember… PLEASE go back to your old self Erik… I miss you bro I watch your old videos to feel that nostalgia of old Erik… GODBLESS YOU Erik MUCH LOVE + RESPECT 🫡

I feel like you make ads that don't waste peoples' time ☠️ tbh I spend more time pausing and advertising my unnecessary opinion in the comments 🦅

I have not and will never buy anything because a YouTuber told me to but at the very least erik makes his ads consistently watchable. If theres some sort of bit or sketch involved in being advertised to then i’m fine with it happening. The bit of two guys having a normal conversation with corpo jargon smashed in is not a bad bit. The people who need a chrome extension to skip ads are the same people who would theoretically save 15% on a purchase of NordVPN using code BIGMONEY or whatever the fuck who cares

Is the New evolution of commercials. It's tit for tat at this point all these companies we use and then become greedy like YouTube… We have to get into the practice of discontinuing use of products when they're corrupted… Basically someone needs to start a new YouTube and everyone needs to just started agreeing to bring their videos to the new YouTube that doesn't have restrictions or charge you anything

Hey Erik, if you ever want to just hang out and watch Ryu play Super Mario Maker I am totally down for that. Even his video where he's playing the weird taiko drumming game. Whatever it takes, you know I'm here for you. Unless you want me to buy Raycons because I hear the audio quality is too good and I am afraid that if I hear Neil Diamond's real voice I won't like his music anymore.

I never heard of sponsorblock until this video though i do arrow key through like 95% of built in adverts and i use adblock this was a hard watch for someone who dislikes their time being stolen by advertisers putting money in someone elses pockets for my time i'd rather have my time back and watched something else yeah your ads are different doesnt change what they are
