When I meet someone for the 1st time,
I'm afraid that I'll try too hard or misunderstand something.
I am hopeful that we'll have a # of common core beliefs, a # of mutual dislikes, they'll get/share my humor, we'll have similar tastes in music/entertainment, & that they're basically a kind & positive person.
I'm afraid that I'll misunderstand something bc my hearing is lacking or bc I make an assumption. Not only can this be awkward, but can give a bad impression that is inaccurate which would cause a missed opportunity. It's tough to recover from a 1st impression.

Okay so with this video the Perfect Human skit is way too obvious to even mention. So I…won't? No but really, how did you bypass copyright Frank? Or can we expect a frankandfriends video with Jørn Leth anyday soon?

That's so cool 🙂 I looked up the dogs and they're so beautiful! Have you ever heard of the mantis shrimp? They're my favorites because they can see 16 colors instead of our 3, they're rainbow, and they can move their claws so fast they boil the water around them. They're AWESOME. Another thing is that I have an ancestor who spoke 12 languages and became rich off of his wood-shipping company and later on his clothing line.

Wow, that's awesome! What's the breed called? You make this whole Goral thing sound very secretive, though I'm sure that's not the case 🙂 Well I can trace my family back to the 1800s and tentatively back to the Golden Age of Spain (Isabel and Ferdinand times, yes we were expelled like all of the other Jews). I had some great-great-great-grandparents that owned a taxi company and a synagogue, but their taxes were horse-driven carriages. Most of my dad's maternal family died in the Holocaust.

Yeah I can! No it's not inappropriate, I'm glad you think that, I've found a lot of racism here on YouTube. It is quite sad but it's good to remember what humanity is capable of. I feel like people are too afraid to talk about the important things. That's why this year I'm doing something called March of the Living, which will take me to Poland and Israel and teach me about the Holocaust. I can tell you about my family history if you like 🙂 And tell me about the Góral! I'm interested.

woah that's so cool! I'm going to look it up right now. I've never heard of that, am I supposed to have? Yeah I'm not descended from a mountain clan, just Jewish. I guess technically that means I'm part of a tribe, though I don't know which one. I know that i can trace my family back to the golden age of Spain on my mom's side though. They were amongst those who were kicked out by Queen Isabel and King Ferdinand. Did you know that Jewish money funded Columbus? It was around that time.

It's true 🙂 Where is your family from? My parents are from Israel, but my maternal grandparents are from Romania and my paternal grandparents are from Iraq and Czechoslovakia (I hope I spelled that right).

Hello… so I came back here to reply to my conversation with Baylee, when I remembered that some people asked me for my Tumblr. I didn't have one then, but I do now–a blog I started with my friend. We're still figuring it out, but perhaps you'd be interested in what I have to say? We really want as much feedback and replies as possible, I love hearing people's thoughts 🙂 thegatheringofthepotatoes(dot)tumblr(dot)com

Hey! I really want people to reply to what I have to say, and hear their thoughts on different subjects. Maybe you could join that.

Trust me, Orson Scott Card handles time travel well, better than anyone I've ever read. That's why I love his stuff– I love something that makes me think and, as far as I know, OSC's logic is accurate and interesting. I would give it a go 🙂 What kind of stuff do you like?

Ah, come to think of it I've never read a book that handled time travel well. Maybe because time travel is a grammar nazi's nightmare. Anyway, very interesting. I started HP, but somewhere around the middle of the fourth book it began to drag on. Maybe I'll go back to them eventually, I know it's probably worth it. And I'll have to add Book Thief to the never-ending pile of books I need to read, sounds awesome.

That sounds amazing! I love Orson Scott Card's Pathfinder series, so much to mull over and there's time travel! And then there's Harry Potter of course… have you ever read the book thief? It's like a poetic novel but it's not poetry and it's so beautiful–i sobbed at the end. and i don't cry that easily over books. and the writing was just… AHHHH, no words.

CONGRATULATIONS. Good luck! When I talk to a camera, my thoughts start to wander and I lose track of what I was saying and then just sort of sit there thinking about what I'm supposed to be talking about.

I understand that it's not their fault, it's not like you can skip puberty. But the stupid stick hits some harder than others. :/ But anyway, if I go on about this I'll end up ranting. Want to hear a story about how I was nicknamed Scotch? 🙂
