Build on the Rock
“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. Matthew 7:24-29
Now the Rock is us building our spiritual relationship upon Jesus Christ Himself. The sand is everything else that man builds upon apart from Jesus Christ Himself. Now the winds, rains, and floods represent daily circumstances or situations we experience. Two men, one wise and the other foolish. The COVID-19, the layoffs and social unrest are the rains, floods, and winds of life we are experiencing as a nation. So what are we to do. Well,
Families if they are to function rightly needs to be built upon the Rock. Our own personal lifestyle if they are to function properly needs to be built upon the Rock. Businesses if they are to be successful needs to be built upon the Rock. And everything else be it relationships both friendship and companionship if they are to function rightly needs to be built upon the Rock. For it is the same way for a Nation or a Country or a People to function righteously needs to be built upon the Rock.
Proverbs 14:34 says:
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

Excellent work! Who knows, I wonder if it is more like the “Andromeda Strain”, or a new cure for Cancer and Covid-19
