I’m Sorry, But Why Do People Like This?!

Justin Hawkins Rides Again | August 18, 2025

Post Malone has released a new song called “Chemical”. I’ve reacted to Post Malone covering Nirvana in the past but today I’m reacting to his own music for the first time. Please, tell me in the comments what you think about this song and why do you think it’s so popular right now.

There’s nothing interesting about Post Malone’s music to me. It’s perfectly described as wet indie pop by Justin. I love a good pop song, but he kind of half asses his way adjacent to a pop hook without actually getting there. Same criticism for T Swift’s newer stuff.

Now conutry he is gifted artist who can sing many genres. And sings from his heart of things from his life. He has a amazing voice hrd a humble king compassionate loving man with love to spread . He had a very energized soul.

EDIT: Clearly I didn't watch the video before I commented. But I'll leave this here as a mark of shame… and also any comment is good for the algorithm.

One year later I'll tell you (and I'm sure others have too, though I did a search, but it only searches the comments I can see, right?): Oxytocin is the "love chemical", that is released when we touch other people for example. Oxycontin is the drug that people refer to as oxy, it's basically analogous to heroin, the opium poppy has a lot of stuff in it, most famously morphine, and you do a really simple chemical reaction to turn morphine into heroin. Another of the compounds in opium is thebaine, it doesn't do much on it's own, but if you perform that same chemical reaction on it you end up with oxycodone (which is the name of the drug, oxycontin is a brand name). For most intents and purposes it is the same as heroin, the same effects, roughly the same potency.

Oxytocin is as natural bonding hormone that is released when cuddling or spending time with a person you like alot in close proximity. I am not sure if there is an artificial drug of it also..
