3:15 HEY MAN, Do you have a Moomin mug right there? 😀 you're 25% finnish now. Drinking your coffee from a moomin mug. I love moomins… like every finnish person who grew up watching them as a kid. Have a nice day/night Justin.

Eak! If that level of tendon or muscle tear happens again at least take a baby aspirin for some anticoagulation action because you are at high risk for those tiny clots of blood to get stuck in lungs or elsewheres… (RN /mom/punk rocker here). TY for this channel! It's great decompression after night shifts at the hospital:)

Why is your chest always being camouflaged. Your tats are what you wanted to have, no? I don't have any. It wasn't a good idea for my particular body. A friend told me nothing to have any a long time ago. It was good advice medically. It would have been too risky. It's your body. The hawk is nice. Since you have them why hife them? People even now say something about not buttoning your shirt. It's not like you are walking around in the avenues half naked. You're getting older. I'm older, among other careers I was a medical assistant. Anyone goes through changes of their immune system
Justin, just be very careful with your

On a lighter note 😊! You are a rip, Justin. That's a compliment on how funny you are but I am sure you figured that out. And it's amazing how you juggle all the work you are attending to, knowing what that's like. I can relate to all of it. It's exhausting I know at times. I'm going back to bed right now because the beeping of some alarm going off earlier has finally ceased. I investigated & there's no danger, just an unfortunate issue with its system. I cracked a joke about it with another neighbor when we viewed & heard the reason for its occurance, which I thought was funny, but apparently she didn't realize I attempted to get her to laugh. Oh well.

Hmmm. I am not stuck in the past, but people may think that because they don't know me at all. It's projection, conjecture, nothing more. People that declare that should look @ themselves. I put the work into whatever is needed. Their need appears to be to squelch others happiness because they don't know the way there. It's boring what they do with their mouths. Stop trying to be so smart & instead be smart. Justin is intelligent. Allowing yourself to learn is a gift to your self. Be an individual. That is an art. We're all bits of one giant puzzle that makes the universe meld into sustaining it.

I fancy myself a straight man but I'm not gonna lie, when Justin said 'I'm going to show you something '' and started to take his trousers off, I felt a surge of emotion….no sure what it was but I can tell you it was not sadness

Hi Justin, saw you in Glasgow this year, brilliant show, how ever you never did Open Fire, which is a work of art musically……the song really stares something in me (a 66 yr old singer in a covers band) which I only heard after I heard yours in Glasgow. Best wishes Robby .

I agree with the music theory thing, but once you hit 21st century 12 tone and such, you realize it’s alllll made up. Rules meant to be broken, everything based on context.

Also forgot to ask you before, do you have certain excersizes and diets that you do as it's great to hear that your sober for many years, and if you had to form a comedy band for comic relief who would you rather front it with Tim vine or Morrissey ?? Thanks Clive

Hey Justin , love what you do on this podcast , I was just wandering if in 2005 were you ever approached about taking part in live 8 after you were in band aid 3 ? Do you see another live aid event happening in 2025 ? Oh yeah do you hear from any ex members of the darkness or hotleg ? Keep up the great work your doing. Thanks Clive

Justin! I'm a fan and a physiotherapist. Please be careful! My first thought upon seeing the angry bruise on your leg is that the origin point of your muscles is complaining loudly about the activity that they were made to do. I am also vegan. I hope you use nutritional yeast regularly and that you are either getting deep tissue massages, wet-heat therapy or doing gentle foam rolling on your hips, hip flexors, and hamstrings. You are clearly very fit. I hope you do core strength training too. But those bruises concern me, on a professional level. I reckon that you've a nutritionist helping to make sure that you are getting correct amounts of vitamins and minerals and that you drink heaps of water. Sending warmest regards from North East France (about 90 minuets from Basel, Switzerland). Thank you for such a lovely, fun, educational, and thought provoking YouTube channel. Also, really adore the new music that I have learned from watching JHRA (like Paramore!) Would love to see The Darkness on your next tour through our neck of the woods. Bises!

Hi Justin, I've only discovered your channel in the last few days. I got Covid for the first time this week so im binging youtube. I'm just wondering what you think of Bluegrass? lots of Metal musicians discover bluegrass and become obsessed. I'm wondering if you would review Billy Strings, "Dust in a Baggy"
Thanks, I really love your honest chat style.

You rocked NZ. The Darkness rules I swear. Admittedly I haven't watched this video yet I just wanted to say if you EVER get the chance go V.I.P. because Justin and the Lads are EVERYTHING GOOD IN THE WORLD.

Hi Justin, would you please consider reviewing a Primus song ? I don’t think you’ve covered anything like this yet and I’d suggest “Winona’s big brown beaver” as an interesting one to get your teeth into. Really enjoyed your show in Perth, cheers.

Hi Justin. I’m curious, you’ve said you like Queen’s 70s albums best but are you a fan of any of their 80s albums? If so which is your favorite. I personally love A Kind of Magic and The Works. Thanks!

So here’s a comment: I was today years old when I learned that the song Grace Kelly was in fact sung by a guy named MIKA and not YOU! Somewhere in a parallel universe it’s a Darkness song and it’s savage. Please cover it sometime and show the world that your version would be much more epic!

As a young man I spent many hours searching for Stan Bush's recording of "The Touch" on cassette- but I never could. I was so young and foolish at the time I didn't know to look for the Transformers Soundtrack, I would wander store to store in the mall trying to find Stan Bush.
When I finally found it in my twenties, I was so excited.
I am pretty sure I heard Justin play it during soundcheck at a show in Toronto back in 2015. The VIP upgrade was amazing anyways, but hearing my childhood favourite song rocked out by Justin Hawkins himself high point of my life.

Yay, comments day! In your opinion / experience, which impacts a band's ability to "make it" (be financially successful enough to have making music be their sole source of income, not just a hobby or labor of love) the most? Is it the talent, the marketability, having the right timing (catching lightning in a bottle, and capitalizing on a moment), or simply having the right connections? Or a little of everything? Love the channel, you're an absolute treat – cheers!
