Yay for peanut butter in gas tanks! And how about pee? You collect the pee inside the peanut butter glass, so shaking and emptying it into the tank should leave it more or less clean. And no elves will ever lick glasses again.

Me washing the jars out: "Okay, whew, that took a while, but finally everything is clean… I can read the number inside the triangle now.. oh, it's a 14, my county doesn't recycle #14 jars."
(And don't get me started on the fact that we have a lot of plastic collection programs, but not many plastic recycling programs.)

In my case, those jars are storage. I don't have yo buy containers for kitchen essentials. And since I already cleaned them and used them a couple hundred times, I can sell them for recycling.

Helps that I buy stuff that come I glass jars…

Funny part is it isn't the peanut butter, its the plastic container that makes it so hard getting the peanut butter out. We used to have glass peanut butter jars and they were a breeze to clean out.

Ok I don't pee in the shower but I do save the "warm up" water from the shower in a bucket and use that to flush the toilet. But hey, Julie, you do you! Great skit. Hope Jerry's Hummer recovered!

Bulk peanut Butter. Big old grinder in the store, bring your own jar. It exists at my local health food store, but somehow it's 5x more expensive than all the packaging….

How are people having all these issues with the paper straws? I've never had any of these issues and I can take days sometimes to drink my drink

It's not just environmental damage or climate change but every industry we look at, people citizens have been robbed/scammed/exploited!
They brainwash us not just through scripted narratives but also controlled education. They lure us in to buying products n services we don't need through marketing to profiteer, then fund our purchases through payment mechanisms like credit cards & loans, then make us work overtime yet under-waged to fund our shop holic consumerism drives, then coerce to buy essentials of life at exorbitant prices while being debt trapped in loans n mortgages to keep their money making slaves in good shape yet compliant, their exploitation of natural resources comes through tax payer funded wars n projects, while we suffer the after maths of deforestation n fossil fuels via droughts, floods, wildfires, heatwaves, make us sick by all of this unhygienic unnatural consumption (processed inorganic foods, air n water pollution etc), then rob us further through healthcare industry tests, scans, pills, therapies etc with side effects, then feed us the blue pills of porn, media(movies, dramas, music, so-called content creators), drugs etc but once reality bites n shit hits the fan to only sicken us further, then run funded political/marketing campaigns giving us the illusion of a new better government/tech that would change it all with so called journalism in talk shows n news programs n advertising whistle blowing the bad complict policies/products of the previous government/company (which media propagated the last time) , then blame all the damage to environment and climate on the very consumers that were exploited in every cycle through every tactic to become part of the problem to profiteer from, only to sell us a so-called better new better alternative product/service/system from the corporate, political, governmental worlds! So we adapt in the name of change/trend/fashion while trying to fit in, survive till we (are made to) die! Now you know the various ways we have been lied to n scammed because these systems and their stakeholders are nothing short of hoaxes!

    Re: peeing in the shower.

Once upon a million years ago a girl I was seeing was sitting on the toilet – lid down, of course – painting her toenails while I was in the shower. Then the need to pee came upon me and she threw a tantrum because I got out of the shower and asked her to let me use the toilet. I simply don't like to pee on my feet or stand in pee water before it goes down the drain.

Another million years later we were in the shower together … and she made me get out of the shower because she wanted to pee. Apparently peeing over her own feet was OK and I'm actually very grateful that she didn't want to pee on mine. Nor did I want to get back in the shower after she peed … of course I got yelled at for that too.

Has anyone else noticed that women like to yell a lot?

The best part? These days I have cochlear implants but back then I had a hearing aid. In both cases I take that stuff off before getting in the shower so when she was yelling at me I literally didn't hear a sound. I just periodically nodded my head and said things like, "Yes, dear". For some reason that made her turn a delightful shade of red.

The assinine thought that somehow a plastic lid or plastic straw is somehow going to change the entire climate of the earth is a belief only held in faith by the most ignorant of human beings who demand life be harder for others due to their own stupidity.

Here in Canada I can unalive a preborn child, or have my child chemically and surgically changed— both without ramifications— but I will an orange sticker of doom from the garbage man if I mix types of garbage. 😵‍💫

My housemate told me I have to wash out the plastic cat food containers before putting them into the recycling – Now they just go to landfill cuz fuck that noise – and "Climate Change" isn't A thing They are called Fucking Seasons.

All this is BS… check out what really happens to your garbage… they pile it all together when you aren't looking. Some are honest and say we are ending recycling. Most plastics are not recyclable. "Climate Change" is a religion, not a science.

Just remember if that peanut butter has canola oil in it it's already toxic waste. Do you really want to eat rapeseed oil that used to be used to lubricate steam engines because it's not soluble in water?

Finding out that most plastic containers have BPA. Oh no it mimics estrogen. It might explain why a whole generation of young men in this country have Vienna sausages and soybean balls.

Many of these solutions are just a distraction from the fact that we are several times over earths carrying capacity, consuming microplastics and PFAS daily and not actually achieving net zero or sustainability as a whole planet. We do these things out of guilt and denial and we are constantly gaslit about the situation – that's just humanity. There is no solution except tech innovation, less consumption and population reduction, its just a hard pill to swallow.

It takes the exact same amount of energy to melt glass as it does to melt sand in the first place. Both have to be cleaned and recycling glass was always better when local milk companies just washed and reused the same bottle.

The problem is none of the predictions made 25 years ago with climate change have come out with verifiable data… The same government that worked with oil companies to stiffle innovations for cars getting 100 + miles per gallon has got to be telling us the truth… The real story is space weather.

My town no longer accepts glass for recycling. They also don't recycle plastic bags of any sort. I don't buy anything in aluminum cans or plastic bottles that they do recycle. I am able to recycle some paper and cardboard. Every thing else ends in the land fill.
    Recycling is a farce.

What really gets me is power companies promote you to use LED lightbulbs and that would lower your power bill so I switched them all out to LED in order to save money…. and the power companies are finding they’re not making as much money so they raise your rates.
