12:07 I know this is a joke video and I don't want to come across as if I'm taking this seriously but in running events there is genuinely a lot of psychology and meta gamesmanship that goes into it. Also events are good because everybody is running in the same conditions whereas different conditions could lead to different times. Especially in like the sprints

As the manager of my high school’s baseball team, yeah playoffs were mid this year we instantly got anialhated 2-14 (our only runs were achieved through a stolen base and a ground out)

what i never understood is having an attachment to college teams that you have no connection to. i know people who go "ROLL TIDE ROLL TIDE" and don't even have a RELATIVE who has been to the university of alabama, let alone having attended themselves
i'm not saying people should gatekeep this kinda stuff, but it's just strange to me (as a non-sports guy)

What is it with hockey fans and their inability to criticize their own sport while they pretend they’re somehow superior for having a “violent” sport despite it being inferior to actual combat sports.
Genuinely why in a team setting in a non combat sport, do we need fights? I get it’s entertaining but if that’s your high point, your sport probably sucks. You want to see a fight, wouldn’t you want to see a better fight than two guys playing shot for shot on skates?

In defense of golf, if you've never spent a hot May morning shooting 18 holes with a friend, you don't realize how physical it actually is haha especially if you're out of shape
Also for sports that "aren't sports", what makes them a sport is the competition. Running, fishing, and cheerleading come to mind. All of those things are ATHLETIC in nature (yes, even fishing) but the only thing that makes them a SPORT is doing them against other people to win something.
