Most of us love animals but also eat meat. Unfortunately, most animals we eat live in truly horrible conditions. We don’t torture them for better meat, just for cheaper meat. If we all paid just a bit more, we could avoid most animal suffering – often just for a few cents per meal. What would it truly cost us to avoid animal torture and still eat meat?

Cheep Eggs also just look disgusting. The Yellow looks uninspired and even the shells look questionable. I personally also feel just more saturated after eating more expensive meet. I really don't got that much money, but every piece of meet wich doesn't hurt my pocket just tastes like meet pulp. Like generic meet something. I mean sure there is differences between pork beef etc. , but it s pulpy idk. So now I am frequently hurting my pocket, but got those more wholesome tastes in my meets. Sure I still support imprisoning innocent and cute animals, but I try to pay as much as I can to buy meet. We have to at least get rid of the lowest grade meet, speaking out of a germans perspective.

Not consuming meat, dairy, eggs etc is still the best way to save them. Killing (either way) is still torture. (Yes also dairy and egg industry result in massive deaths and torture of animals) And unfortunately often "freerange" is not as peaceful and good as it seems.

Maybe they should’ve evolved larger brains and the ability to use tools… Then they would have their own societies and moral dilemmas over food.
Last time I checked pretty much every animal on Earth would eat you without hesitation if they were hungry enough with zero regard to the life you may have lived. We aren’t gods, merely animals at the top of the food chain. We give them mercy with quick deaths.

I'm not a huge meat guy. I'm not big on steak, ribs or wings. But I could never give up beef burgers or bacon for life.

While it is right that we may all pay a "tad" more to better the life of the animals we consume, but not everyone can afford that "just a tad" more, so increasing animal quality of life may also mean decreasing that of many humans, especially in vulnerable areas with lots of poverty.

Food inflation here is like more than 100% over the last 2-3 years. Meat probably more. I’m certain animal treatment hasn’t meaningfully improved.

If you can’t afford ethically produced meat, maybe you just shouldn’t be eating meat. It’s not essential for survival.

This is ridiculous. I have been vegan 6 years and you clearly don't need to consume them.
You failed to mention the death of wildlife that will need to be culled to feed the animals. That is already happening. Or even the disease that is so risky, especially birdflu, which is why so many birds don't get to live outside at all. This is because of how we keep these birds worldwide. Develop and be vegan, there are many vegan replacements. P.S COVID was disappointing.

Something to note, animals taste better without being stressed. So that raising the prices not only makes the animals lives better, but also in the quality of meat.
