If You DON’T Believe In Heaven, You NEED To See This
Most people believe that being a good person is enough to get into heaven. Oxford mathematician and Christian apologist Professor John Lennox says they are wrong, and he explains why with 60 years of evidence, debate, and personal experience.
Steven puts the hardest questions in atheism directly to Lennox, starting with the birth lottery: 91% of adults simply adopt and keep the religion they were raised in. If you were born in Afghanistan, you would almost certainly be Muslim. If born in India, Hindu. If born in Northern Ireland like Lennox, Christian. Is it fair that geography determines who goes to heaven?
Lennox’s answer begins with a story from his debate with Princeton ethicist Peter Singer, one of the world’s most famous philosophers, who advanced exactly this argument. When Lennox asked Singer whether his parents were atheists, Singer said yes. Lennox replied: then you remained in the faith in which you were brought up. Singer protested that atheism isn’t a faith. Lennox said: I was convinced that you believed it. The audience erupted, and the clip went viral across the internet.

There is nothing to suggest that when we leave this life and go into the next. That we won't look at what God has done to restore those that suffered greatly and wish that we had been like them. In fact if we observe the Apostles closely it seems they believed that very thing!!

I can’t get over why people believe in a faith when there is no evidence at all and it’s just classed as “faith”, it’s all you need. It’s all about money, power, manipulation, control and the list goes on. If people do good with their faith, I’m all for it, most sound lovely but then you have the corruption, bigotry and all the other unpleasant things most people suffer from. If only people would be good and kind to each other, the world would be a much better place, it’s a shame when division is created.

You could be an Atheist and still would go ahead would be able to know that all powerful omnipresent omnipotent eternal super intelligence. Non believer? In what? A cocept called God.. How do we know God is He.. Is there a scientific proof? How do you know. Dont you want to know? You all want to know know about everything in the plant about the planet about the universe.. and beyond, all the phenomenas.. When it comes to God, just want to believe.. sit there. Argue. Fight. Even hate .. Why won't you be spiritual scientist explorer and find out. What is a Cross. What does it signify.. I have never seen christians thinking about that. Why that sign..Does it have a deeoer meaning… May be it is all lost. My friend is a Christian protestrian. I feel their focus is less on practising and experiecing something than crticising catholics and others who are outside their style of faith practice or belief or may be their faith practice equates to checking others , comparing and getting others to join.. so immature.. Her father very found of me, loves to engage with me and ultimately want me to believe in power of Christ. And everytime I and all my faith practitioners also, say that we believe in him. There are thousands, let him be another. We can accomodate him. They say no.. very confused. Then he gives up on it but gives me gyan and I love it anyways. Goes on to say you see the sun up there and its reflection in the bucket and the poodle. That what we all are. Reflection of one light..I thought this what at the core all the faith teaches.. self discovery itself is Ultimately we all have to drop our beliefs. What is love? Sometimes slight change in vacab helps gives clsrity …You want to believe in heven then it exists. If you want to believe we are shadows we are. But no matter both is a creation not a reality.. whatever we may want to call it there is but is something which is beyond because we are not that powerful. We feel hunger. Put it down our throats but we cannot control beyond that even in the physical body. So be at ease. Deburden yourself. Practise love and forgiveness.. work on that.

Steven I hope you see this comment so that you have a better understanding of God and answer to all your questions, the reason why we need God goes back to why God has created us and the reason of creation is test and worship, worship isn't only praying to God but also serving and helping others which we are constantly doing everyday, this world is just a test and illusion and God has given us choices 1 is good path 2 is evil path now it depends on you which one to choose and you will be also responsible for the consequences of your choices, life is just like a test when you prepare for an exam at school if you study for exam you pass if you don't you fail, the same thing applies to life and God and the final purpose is the afterlife if you followed everything God said you will end up in eternal life and never ending happiness and bliss in heaven but if you chose the evil path you will end up in hell, so life is a test and you should prepare and work hard for it and the reason we need God in our life is to pass the test of this world and end up in heaven.

Christian apologists often say that God exists outside of space and time. So if heaven is where God is and you go to heaven when you die then you won't experience time. It's bizarre that people believe that you have a soul that there is no evidence for. That you go to be with God when they're is no evidence for any God actually existing. That you go to heaven that is outside of space and time and cannot be detected.

When I was young, my mother committed suicide and my father abandoned me. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but as a result my brother and I both became Christians and raised godly families. God can redeem any situation.

(We do not need no third party! )And Humans have been telling stories and losing things all over from beginning of time. I was raised mostly from salvation Army churches and growing up I started believing in all gods now I believe in the god that made all.

JESUS CHRIST came to earth to SAVE US ALL from the "FALL"..(& accomplish the RESURRECTION that ALL will be resurrected)…the adversary of us all – who rebelled against GOD – [along w/ 1/3 of the host.of heaven] who were "cast down" [hellbent] to "reign w/blood & horror" on this earth – all striving to destroy us…[as w/the case of the baby you spoke of]…JESUS CHRIST fulfilled His Mission…[& as the only "begotten" of the FATHER…was the only one who could fulfill this Mission]…the fact that we CHOSE to come here to be subjected to the viscissitudes of life -[ so we could CHOOSE to follow the love of GOD or follow the adversary]…is a powerful truth…GOD LOVES ALL OF HIS CHILDREN (that means each & every human who is born into this world [past, present , & future] …the choices each of us make here ARE VERY IMPORTANT – GOD KNOWS EACH HEART too…JESUS CHRIST truly did offer a way out of this vicious cycle – & offers us HIS POWER to "overcome.the world"…each will be judged by the desires of his or her heart…as well as actual actions based on our unique circumstances…GOD LOVES YOU (& ME!)

I have no idea why so many people find John Lennox so fascinating. He has never given any good argument in support of his beliefs. He just babbles and resorts to citing scripture and circular reasoning. I am practicing Catholic and believe in the possibility that our consciousness continues after death — but I can assure you that Lennox has nothing to do with that.
