The Menominee nation in Wisconsin hosted Wisconsins first annual 2 Spirit Powwow this year in addition to this awesome news piece. Such a badass nation ( even though I’m biased as an Anishinaabe person haha).

July 4th is not a holiday. Neither is that brainwashed β€œholiday” in November. Columbus was a POS. The history of β€œAmerica” is a disgrace to God. The indigenous tribes lived in harmony with nature and were very peaceful and respectful people β€” unless forced to protect their land from white settlers. The history books in American schools are lies atop of lies. God bless all the indigenous tribes. πŸ™

We stay home in the 4th … I see many many of our native youth drinking and blasting fire works and doing the opposite of what our native people should be doing ..: it all starts in the home … spiritual education starts in the home we are lead by example …
I'm glad for this opportunity to see this video to know that more and more of our First Nations peoples are understanding it should never be a celebration it's a celebrated time of conquering our ancestors and everything they were. Which is opposite of what they did for us, we are the ancestors dream and yet our indigenous peoples celebrate along with those who silenced us from our true freedom which is to be ourselves, whom we are and not only the physical part but the spiritual part… my family stays indoors and we bead and sew and fast from not eating just one day to remember our ancestors spirits .. meanwhile there's fireworks blasting and bad things taking place such as alcohol and drugs, fights all chaos outside we remain humble and in prayer indoors: I think our ancestors deserve that moment to remember them on July 4th ❀

Sadly, the struggle for Natives continues to this day. Trump selling off federal lands to his rich friends in many states. That means tribes cannot
use those lands for grazing. The threats to Native nations goes on every day. Cuts to federal programs that Native rely on. Threats by Big Oil and Gas.
As long as the United States exists, Natives must stand together. That is the reality Natives live in.

Russell Means' video WELCOME TO THE REZERVATION tells the story very well. Thank you for telling the truth of the 'stories' we are told/taught.❀❀❀❀

1:18 I have always believed this, even as a child, that it felt unlikely the white colonists came up with 'demacracy' by themselves. But manifest destiny is a myth that many white Americans believe and indoctinate generations to believe as well.
Another example of how white America wants to erase the influence and contributions of BIPOC communities.

Land that was manipulated and STOLEN.

19 Broken treaties by the hands of the U.S. Government. NEVER once upholding their agreements. Here we are! Your land deed, VOID!

    More proof…..

The "Walmart" of The Plains ~

Scotty Phillips – The single White Man that saved a small herd of native plains buffalo.

If it wasn't for this man, the America buffalo would be extinct today.

Personally, The United States/Canadian Governments are petrified if we come back to our ways! They know they will not be able to make one penny from us.

End human greed, all else will survive!

When Reggie Wassana, governor of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma, asked what would happen to the Europeans coming to America, what did he mean by that? Did he mean that the incoming Europeans would be even more enriched at the expense of Indigenous folks, due to even more being taken away? Or did he mean that Custer was xenophobic to European immigrants, and so not only would Native folks have had it even worse, but, to a lesser extent, so would European immigrants, due to the victory of overall bigotry and oppression? Does anyone know what he meant there?

Okay, America needs to get real. Their was the extermination of the native tribes. Treaties broken by the white man. Buffalo exterminated as a food supply and Indians moved off their ancestral lands. These are facts. And, it was greed for land, resources and minerals, gold and silver. If you were invaded, what would you do?

Smallpox really did it to the native tribes and almost completely wiped out a lot of the native people is there have been no smallpox or be at least a hundred to 200 million native people alive today and it didn't help their cause that they were still fighting each other even when the Europeans were here numerous attempts to try to unite the tribes but it didn't work it was too late by that t h e n coarse Force removal from their land and help either and then still killing each other while the Europeans were here wasn't a good thing either she said two wrongs don't make a right

To remember and being in the boarding schools while I wish I could be in your presence and learn from you ma'am. My greatn Grandmother was whitewashed as I call it in Hayward boarding school. It took me 30 months of hard looking to trace that up and trace that down, but my grandmother said, don't don't ever forget, but I'm pretty sure we're Indian, but it's a family secret.. Not anymore.πŸ˜Šβ€πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰
