Paul Booth has the distinction of not only his work being recognisable but stuff inspired by his work being recognisable.

Re heavy hand, during a flight me and the random guy next to me got talking about ink. I had stopped getting tattooed in my home country and would go abroad for ink whereas he was being tattooed local by someone he knew. He said the guy would offer to do any tattoo for free if they could sit through him tattooing his name on their foot without a break and no one had been able to sit through it.

Hell yeah I would see king all the time when he lived in gavilan hills out by riverside I even got his autograph on his pickup order receipt that has his name on it already for an order of food from Panera Bread he used to go there almost every Sunday when my wife worked there

Paul Booth is far more than just a tattoo artist; he's a living encyclopedia of modern tattooing. For over three decades, he has helped redefine black & grey, dark art, and horror-inspired tattooing, becoming a global reference point for generations of artists.

His style is instantly recognizable: dark, biomechanical, organic, and deeply influenced by horror, fantasy, and the occult. But beyond his artistic talent, it's his longevity and influence that truly stand out. Few artists have remained so relevant and respected for so long.

Throughout his career, Booth has tattooed some of the biggest names in heavy music, including Kerry King, Phil Anselmo, Corey Taylor, Max and Igor Cavalera, Dez Fafara, Mark Hunter, and many more. The wrestling world has also passed under his needle, with clients such as Mark "The Undertaker" Calaway, Aleister Black, and Brody King.

Through these artists, Paul Booth also helped introduce an entire generation of fans to the world of tattooing. Countless metal, rock, and wrestling fans discovered tattoo culture through the iconic pieces worn by their favorite musicians and performers, making Booth one of the key figures in bringing tattoo art further into mainstream culture.

Today, Paul Booth remains one of the most respected names in the industry: a veteran, a mentor, and a true pioneer whose influence can still be seen across the tattoo world.

Paul Booth was a massive inspiration for me to get heavily tattooed and into the dark, morbid and macabre art. I was around 8 or 9 when my mom got me my first tattoo magazine back in the late 90s and they had a feature on him. I instantly was hooked. Now hearing him talk about him tattooing a lot of my fave metal artists is fuckin wild! Thank you Paul Booth🤘🏼😈🔥

The background music makes me expect the deep voiced narrator to come on at any moment "Just when Amy thought her husband was the king she always wanted …. he turned out to be a devilsh jester"

I have a Paul Booth (design) tattoo covering my forearm, of a pile of skulls and thornes – of my many tattoos my P.B is still one of my faves..🤘😎🔥
