I always say I’m not going to Record Store Day, but end up going anyway. When I first looked at the Record Store Day 2026 list, my honest reaction was disappointment. This seems to be the trend. Then, when RSD comes around, I end up going (late, but I still go). And, as always, I spend too much money. Here’s a look at why RSD drives me nuts, why I still go, and what I picked up this year.

Thumbs up for the Yo La Tengo album over your shoulder. That’s one of my favorites. I’m the same way for RSD. There were 4 on my list, and since I’m traveling, I stopped into one record store on Saturday afternoon and I waited until Sunday morning and was able to grab the rest online. VH, STP, Puscifer live albums and the Sugar 12” box set.

Hi. I think black leather vinyl is a joke tefering to the black leather outfit of JMC in their time of first release. Which was optically pretty much a velvet underground rip off, I think. Well: Nothing really attracted me at rsd this time. Now you made me curious. Maybe I can snatch a left over copy. Let's see. Cheers from Germany Klaus
