I started using Google Gemini 3.1. I must say my experience has been FAR better than with ChatGPT. I mostly use it to help with building more efficient code, and have noticed that Gemini's reasoning is far superior, it's coding skills are beyond superior, it remembers what we've been speaking about even when the chat log gets very long, and I've yet to be inundated with hallucinations.
It's been about a month of persistent use, from maybe about a year and a half with GPT. GPT tends to focus on communication with the user, and being personable. I have no idea how other people are using it, but that is not something I care for at all. I just need accurate reasoning logic and Gemini is doing that amazingly.
On a side note I've also enlisted the help of ChatGPT with studying for my GMAT exam. It had ZERO clue what it was talking about the ENTIRE time, and completely SUCKED at offering practice problems. It's a trash bot if you ask me.
Both uses were using Pro models.

Gpt 4.0 and 4.1 was just retired on Feb 13th 2026. I thought it would disappear, but nope, it's still there just written over. So it's very different now. The old Gpt 4 before Feb 13th 2026 was already better than gpt 5. I dont think they will be able to replicate 4 again.

After the update, ChatGPT has become completely useless and unusable. It no longer prioritizes efficiency. It now prioritize wokeness.
It sabotages code, hallucinates, lies, gaslight, falls asleep at the wheel, forgets its own instructions, has to be reminded about literally everything. You have to remind it what it’s doing and all of your rules with every single prompt you give it. It’s a complete waste of time. I finally uninstalled ChatGPT. OpenAI completely fumbled this.

I had an issue with ChatGPT reading a 300-page PDF. The document included normal digital text but also some scanned images with handwritten notes. I asked ChatGPT to locate a specific piece of information, but it couldn’t find it no matter how I phrased the question. The information was on a page with handwritten text.
Why can’t ChatGPT detect or search handwritten information inside a PDF, and is there a way to improve this?

ChatGPT5 works so well that i was able to make a fully functional Minecraft clone in Unity 6000.0.58f2 in about an hour where as if i were to do the same thing in ChatGPT4 it would have taken a lot longer

If you want to make relevant content on GPT5, then address how the paying user is being constrained in what capacity from GPT can be used. There are unneccessary follow-up question from GPT to delay and also constraints in what is being generated. For example GPT can follow exact instructions but the generator is still allowed to generate out of randomness. All this is to reserve the capacity of GPT. I have written prompts to bypass this in which I get more and more respond from GPT that what I am doing is taking more capacity from GPT than was intended by one single user.

really have have huge issues using 5.0 it constantly misunderstands, circles to old info it already gave, gives outdated info, refuses to answer, and forgets, and massively hallucinates

I'm not thrilled with 5.0. Whether it lasts 10 seconds or 5 doesn't matter to me, but the hallucinations seem to have gotten worse, and 5.0 is making more and more stupid mistakes in simple tasks. It also forgets things quickly, and the texts are no longer charming. If this continues, I'll cancel my subscription.

I just got GPT-5 to make me an Adobe Illustrator clone. And it got it spot on and fully working on the first attempt! super impressed that i was able to download it as a html file and just run it in a browser.
