just saw the movie. i feel rly bad for the rock. he probly gave it everything he had in him to play this very troubled person.
but the story is so boring. i couldnt care less about anything that was happening. odd editing, and bad storytelling. safdie never shoulda broken up with his bro. uncut gems was so original and brilliant and vivid and fast paced. smashing machine felt like a student film honestly.
