Dynamic pricing makes me so angry – it’s just not right that two seats next to each other can be so different in price. Fans shouldn’t have to pay the cost of an expensive holiday /their monthly rent to see a band.

I recently used AXS to buy Chappell Roan tickets in Kansas City and can say it was a far superior experience than Ticketmaster. I really hope more artists use them in the future.

    As a french:
Why are resellers allowed to sell at a higher price than they bought?
On nearly all big events that allow reselling your ticket here, you can only do so on dedicated platform, that won't allow you to turn a profit on reselling the ticket.
It's pretty simple to forbid selling on other platform: the tickets are nominative, which can only be modified in-app, and the bar code is only available in-app, at the last minute.

Of course, you still have scalpers, but they mostly can only operate either with smaller-scale shows, that won't bring a big profit, or they have to do it in-person in front of the arena, which is not a reliable business model for obvious reasons.

i am one of the extremely lucky that got their taylor swift tickets at face value, but seeing just how much the same lowkey shitty seats i had go for is crazy. my tickets were $50 each. other people in my section? hundreds!!!

I'm so sad for today's youth. A group in poverty my mom was a single parent there's no way I would've been able to go to a concert today with the money. My mom had back then. My first concert was at 13 years old in the early 90s for blackstreet – when no Diggity was number one – we got decent tickets for $20

Great video! Your egg comment made me laugh.

Just out of curiosity… it’s kinda my thing 😅 what mic are you using? It looks like an old school AKG perception 220… which would be very cool!

Simply blaming Ticket Master isn’t enough. The Artists need to be held accountable as well. It’s Greed that drives the Entertainment Industry.
Why can’t they make it a law that you can’t sell tickets over face value? Seems like that would solve all the problems. So why don’t they?
Because the Entertainment Industry doesn’t want them to.
Until People stop paying these prices and stop going to concerts the Industry won’t change.

super late to the convo but! when the eras tour tickets first dropped my boyfriend sadly failed at getting us tickets while i was at work. later i got an email from ticketmaster saying i had an opportunity to request to buy two tickets because “We at Ticketmaster apologize for the difficulties you may have experienced during the initial onsale, and have been asked by Taylor’s team to create this additional opportunity for you to request to purchase tickets.” there was like a two day window to submit a request and you could set a price range but you had to agree to buy the tickets matched to you. i set my range from $79-$259 and we were offered tickets for $209 each for pretty average seats. together it was $418, service fees were $103, grand total was $521.45. i’ve never seen anyone else talk about this happening to them and getting the tickets for face value (?) after they were all bought up by bots. i’m not sure if it has happened for other artists but i wish it happened more throughout the eras tour since they obviously didn’t catch all the scalpers.
