The conversation near the end at 46:10 regarding devotion at sacred places – it’s important as it is both temporal and transcendental. It doesn’t replace but rather it is complementary to your daily devotion elsewhere. I think that not caring nor having spiritual connection to sacred places is more of an American Baptist/Evangelical mindset rather than the traditional Protestant belief.

You know whats the best thing with Alex compared to all the rest of the “atheists” lot?

He is sincerely interested in the history, facts, theology, everything.
He has his own opinions and beliefs but he CRUCIALLY is open in discussion. And even learns more and questions.

Alex, unlike most Christians I don’t have some strange optimism that you’ll convert, but I appreciate you being a welcoming, genuinely curious person.

I am.a christian and I cant stand to watch the chosen. Every scene i.seen is so cringy bad, unnatural acting, added details not found in the bibne and too western influence and unecessary jokes from the messiah.

Awesome video Alex. I am a Christian, but I enjoy hearing your perspective and your ability to listen to others and disagree. This is awesome and what a cool tour with Dallas

Alex, please go to a renaissance fair and be the local philosopher. Preferably with a giant barrel and walk around with a lantern in broad daylight.

I wish half of the conversation wasn't about how Dallas thinks the devotional practices of other Christians are incorrect. Christians have been making pilgrimages for the entirety of the faith and even before that, the Israelites did as well. Many of the Psalms are specifically about going to Jerusalem to worship. He even says that he found it special to pray in the Garden of Gethsemane because Jesus actually was there and then belittled the exact same concept for 15 minutes. Final thought(not that anyone cares what I think): The idea of God being in all places in the exact same manner and measure demeans the concept of the Incarnation. It mattered that God walked and lived and spoke in particular places. As C.S. Lewis said, "God likes matter, he created it".

I can understand why Alex might find it frustrating when christians leave comments on videos like this claiming that he must be getting close to accepting christianity just because he shows some interest, but do the atheists commenting in droves ‘I can already smell the christian comments coming!!!!’ not sense the irony that those comments are likely just as mind numbing and annoying as the christian comments they're anticipating? lol

Alex, for someone who hates Christians taking your content and putting a Christian song behind it to say you’re about to convert you sure make A LOT of content for them to use in that way…..

“We feel like if people can binge watch and have watch parties all over the world for shows like Game of Thrones and Stranger Things, there's no reason not to binge watch a show about Jesus. The term binge means to, you know, kind of have an obsession with something, and if we figure out how to have an obsession with Jesus, we might as well encourage that” Dallas Jenkins

How does any of this, a 40 million dollar show (albeit crowd funded) or the idea that Jesus should appear as a protagonist in tv series, gets anyone any closer to what he meant in his teachings. A teaching, for instance, like the one in Matthew 19:21…

I think ladder is still at window above entrance to church of the Holy Sepulchre, been there since at least 1720s. Also The Last Temptation of Christ is based on a modern book, not entirely director Scorsese just making it up.
