It is really sad to keep hearing this lady call her cat by the name "bad kitty", she is literally speaking it over him, how could she expect him to act differently.

Why do you not recommend cats going outside, is this an American thing? I'm 43 and have lived with cats my whole life in England. They just have their own cat sized door, they come and go as they please. They have always seemed very happy. The 3 I had during childhood all lived in excess of 20 years. My last one (a rescue I got when she was already pretty old) lived to 24. Surely can't be so wrong?

Hi cat lady here, they need to know the cats needs by his reaction tail twitch ears back DON'T TOUCH ME . Playing with feet in a bed my cats love it but if it gets to ruff stop and let them calm down . Get a catio for him to sit and watch the world from safety . Cats don't always want to be picked up and played with or stroked . I have Angel who is a rescue she will only let me do things for her humans in my house know that so they keep away from the sharp claws and teeth . LoL she is 14 now and she has never changed . But she is in with us laying by us and sleeps on the beds . The little girl has to learn like you said cats are not toys . God bless Karen and family rescue NSW Australia and my 23 rescue fur babies aged between 4 months old and 16 yrs some with special needs. 😾😸🐈🐕🥰🦘🐨🇭🇲

It's funny, i learned very young the way to a cat's heart is to ignore them haha sit in a quiet room relaxed, ignore them, and if they make eye contact slow blink and every cat ive met will come say hi.

This video was hilarious. The bit that really made me laugh was the bit where the girl was on the top of the dresser crying about the cat and it was just sort of chilling on the bed doing nothing. Then the bit that made me start laughing a lot was when the woman tried to get it off the bed but it just started opening its mouth and putting it's paws up as if to protect itself. Then when she lifted it up, it ripped her skin off.😂

I really like these cat guardians, they were very willing to admit they were a big part of the problem, and very willing to learn how to become better caretakers. Jackson is a great teacher, teaching them how to read the cat's body language and respect the cat's boundaries.

She’s a good woman genuinely wanting her cat to be happy, she learned her mistake and is willing to correct it. Our Cats sometimes are a perfect mirror for our own flaws.

I have black cat that gets a lil mean whenever u touch him when he is not in good mood, whenever he displays the swatting or the warning bite, I back off and come back later to see if he is in a better mood or I stick out my hand and he either puts his face in my hand to tell me he wants pets or he walks away whenever he doesn’t. If I really need him to move, I lure him away with treats. I have my own little system to determine what he wants or doesn’t want. He has never attacked me. The most aggression from him is just ur casual wagging tail and growling.

I’ve never understood why some people constantly pester their animals with ‘affection’ like this. You would hate it if someone did it to you. The animal does not exist for you to ‘cuddle’. Leave the damn thing along for Christ sake.

My neighbor had the brother of two of my cats and she always complained how he was aggressive to her but not anyone else it seemed, he would love on me and my wife and then she would go in the same way and he would freak out and she would call him names, every damn time and she wondered why he didn't like being pet by her when he's being called names. Being called "Bad Kitty" he was just being what you told him he was. If she wanted to cuddle a kitty so bad they clearly have a little orange kitten who wants attention, pet that one and let Pickles do his thing.

I’ve found with my cat like that just to ignore him if he wants attention he comes to me. Sometimes I’ll engage pets but once he’s done with the first one of three I back off he’s not too affectionate most of the time but when he is it’s great. I love him even if he prefers his space he’s a good boy and great company.

I think a lot of people come at cats with a dog owner pov really, and they always seem so surprised the cat isnt having it. Weird as it sounds I find cats care immensely about like, consent. Its probably their biggest factor in if they tolerate a person

I see that they have a dog and I think I know the big problem: they treat their cat like they treat their dog BIG MISTAKE. A dog is a dog and a cat is a cat. Treat them differently. You can't go play with them or get affection just like you do with a dog. It's very different and you gotta learn it and accept it.
Also, it's very important that kids also understand all of this. Because I suspect that the kid does not know how to take care of a cat.

Y’all have a lot of misconceptions about dogs. Yes they’re generally more open to physical interaction than cats, but dogs have different personalities too. Some issues are very breed specific, some don’t do well with children and have more boundaries just like many cats do. It’s not ok to constantly jostle them and do whatever you want with them like a rag doll.

Saying this as response to some of the dismissive characterizations of dogs I see in these comments… like this person is a bad cat owner and you say just give them a dog?! How about teach this person to be a better pet guardian, not pawn them off on some other animal they’ll still not treat properly cause they haven’t got a clue what they’re doing!

In the end, I think it's awesome that she realised she was initiating these bad reactions and wasn't defensive about it but rather maturely admitted she now sees the problem was in her being overly over him and decided to follow Jason's advice 🙂 I think Pickle will be allright 🙂

I don't understand why they found it so hard. Cats aren't dogs. Dogs you can fuss and pull around and play with, cats you can't. You have to let them come to you and stop what you're doing if they tell you to stop. Ears, tail, swatting, all signs they want you to stop. They also have sensitive tummies and few cats like to be touched there. Even if they are purring on your lap you stick to gentle stroking and ear fondling. Nothing rough or sudden. Of course there are cats that are contrary, but for most cats the rules are pretty simple. It's on their terms, not yours.

I just realized how easy my kitty is. He's a intact stray tom cat who is an outdoor-indoor. When he wants to go out, he sits at the door meowing. And when he wants to go inside he's waiting for me outside. He only ever attacks me when I dig up his poop from the litter box and take out the trash. So I get it done when he's outside, prowling the streets.
My son is kinda afraid of the cat but he knows that if you just ignore the cat, he won't do anything. My son's rule: only pet if he comes to you, purring and rubbing his body on you.
I'm going to kiss my cat when I get back from work. And tell him hes such a cool and chill cat.

Well the most indoor cats have no space or own territory,so they can get cramped up with owners.
Flower remedy s can be soo helpful and it always work.
Both cat and owner should take the remedies.
