The world of internet piracy is one you won’t find many people talking about, which is a shame because it’s truly a bizarre section of the internet. Today’s video is one of unnerving viruses, insane corporate vigilantism, YouTube mysteries, and fake files leading to real world arrests.

9:10 Really? In my experience, torrents are SUPER slow. If it wasn't for the fact that they're pretty much the only way you can pirate things anymore, I'd never use them. Direct Downloading has ALWAYS been better in my experience, even from the Internet Archive.

I actually was someone that made "tech" tutorial back then with a notepad. I did some to download games (deleted of my channel) and one to create a "fake virus". It was basically a batch tutorial xD. I was 12 at the time and got a surprisingly high amount of views for how low effort these videos were

A video about the cyber security dangers of torrents sponsored by a "free money" app asking you to turn on app tracking is so funny man.

"If you're a younger millennial or an older gen z, you likely used LimeWire to download something in the 2000s"

Dude, I'm late Gen X and was a tender pup of 20 or 21 when LimeWire came out, so the idea that only younger millennials would know about it is hilarious.

My GF from a few years back got her internet cut from downloading In Time back in 2011 from a torrent and basically had to say "someone must have jumped on to her network" which was kind of true, since she used my laptop to do it

so yeah, I wouldn't put it past MPAA from putting a virus out onto the web, if they'll log IP's and send a service revoke request

ive been torrenting since i was a kid. applications, movies, shows, music, you name it. never ran into any problems. just be cautious, have some common sense and you’ll be safe.

My man really had the balls to make a video talking about torrent viruses while promoting the shadiest fucking piece of app I've ever seen in my entire life

Question: How many people got infected with adware and thought, you know what… that product/service is EXACTLY what i'm looking for. And bought it and thanked them for paying hackers to run their ads.
Honestly i think you have more chance of winning the lottery lol.

Doesn’t matter what it is, there’s always a few bad actors. There’s a safer option, download it into a virtual machine first. If nothings wrong after checking what files you’re downloading and installs without any issues it’s safe to fully install or just use inside the virtual machine
