Throughout the first day of our absence, all of the fossil fuel power plants around the world would shut down in rapid succession without humans around to re-fuel them with coal or oil. These shutdowns would lead to electrical blackouts across the globe, causing our world to rapidly go dark, grid-by-grid. What other consequences would there be if there were no humans on Earth?

I thought that if all of humanity died off, Mother Nature would be happy, and the world would flourish in the most beautiful, vibrant green; nature would finally have dominion over the world, like it should be.
Although, indigenous people did nothing to displease Mother Nature, so they can live in peace (I swear, I am not an actual druid, nor am I a part of some Mother Nature cult. I just care about the environment.).

No. Houses do fine without humans for a long time. If rats do not show up in your apartment, it is not because you are present or not to throw them out.
Houses have barriers of metal nets and are sealed off. More time is needed to break down houses.
Also not all nuclear plants will explode.
In the long run the waste storage heating up is a bigger problem.
Chemicals will leak from containers but it will take time and not happen at an instant.
In the countryside it will practically go unnoticed, as there is already no humans there and the activity is not hazardous.
The nuclear fallout will be disturbing and will filter out new set of animals over long time.
Anything on ships will leak out.
But the oceans are great and there is eons of time to recover.
