What a great film. Loved it. I’ve never been to Scarborough but I am familiar with this tradition so I’m guessing it’s been on Blue Peter or summit in the past. Feels like a John Noakes sort of thing. Next for you then is scaling Nelson’s Column. Without any safety harness.

This is bringing back memories of camping in Filey and going to Scarborough as a kid. Spent a lot of time in Peasholm Park and saw the show many times, always a highlight

That’s the problem with those stupid clip on Rode mic‘s everybody is obsessed with lately. Sometimes your better just using the built-in camera mic or just invest a little money in a directional shotgun mic. That should always be on your camera recording backup sound in case you have an error.

But honestly you should be recording your sound separately on an audio recorder and separately on your camera with a non-battery powered microphone that way you always have a back up. It’s obvious when your video isn’t working but when your audio screwed up you never find out until you’re back home. Plug your wireless mics into a zoom recorder or a taskcam recorder then a shotgun Mike directly to the camera. You used to do it that way

This is crazy, I was talking about this place just a few days back, not realising you were about to release a video on it! Have you taken up mind reading?

A bit too many cuts to narrate in my opinion, I'd rather have a voiceover, but a splendid video nonetheless. I should visit.

Tom, you are a bright guy. How are you missing the Incogni and Aura grift?

They promise to remove your data from the internet and hook you with a free trial.

How do you claim it? By handing over the exact personal information they are supposedly going to scrub for you.

The catch is that the data you give them is 100 percent accurate and verified. Data broker is a convenient catchall term.

They might actually be sending out removal requests, but they are also building a pristine database of their own. They have positioned themselves as the prime vendor for the very information they claim to protect.

I've heard of this place and seen videos of it, but had no idea people were inside the boats! This is a fantastic advert for the place. I really hope they're doing well. I'll have to pop over some time!

Were there even shots fired at the Battle of the River Plate?

I remember that the Germans just scuttled their ship having being tricked by the British into believing that a large British naval force was waiting at the harbours entrance despite only a few destroyers actually being there at that point with the rest still incoming.

Or am I mixing things up here?
