Literally as I'm thinking "why is he using a stick and not some special metal tool?" Steve explains it's because he can bite sticks and they won't hurt him. He literally always took their safety first.

Hearing him say Rhino again brought me back. Steve was my hero growing up. I remember the day I found out he died, I cried. My life plan was to become a zoologist and move to Australia to work at his Zoo lol. Kids dreams ya know. I was 15 when he passed. The world has been a darker place without him. I wonder what he’d be doing today if he were still here. How many animals he would have helped, and people really. He really had that “thing” you can’t quite put your finger on that made him great. No one could replace him. Miss you Stevo…❤

Steve was an amazing conservationist and loved all kinds of animals. Seeing him work with crocs and seeing the knowledge he had of those beautiful dinosaurs was truly amazing. His best mate Wes is still with the family after all these years and that is something awesome.
