Have celebrity-owned brands gone too far?

Good Work | January 3, 2026

The Good Work Investigative News Team fearlessly delves into why every celebrity alive today has a brand, which is a fact.

Now more than ever it is vital to tell stories that uncover truths about the modern condition, and we can’t do it alone; we’re grateful to Emily Heyward, Nik Sharma, and Kyle Cooke for their assistance with this investigation.

Also Mark Wahlberg’s drip fits will haunt us forever.

Shaq being just the Circle button is such an unbelievably funny joke. It’s advanced in a way that I think it goes over most people’s heads. But the comedic genius behind it if truly fantastic. Bravo!

unlike other celebrity brands, Rihanna's Fenty Beauty and Savage x Fenty, are not only aligned with who we've known Rihanna to be for the past two decades with her being a beauty and fashion trailblazer, her business is also solution-oriented. The beauty and fashion industry is not known for its inclusivity and diversity. One of the great achievements of Rihanna's brands is that it centers people who are marginalized in beauty and fashion or treated as a trend and celebrates them in her brand in the mainstream in a way never seen before. Rihanna delivered something black people and people of color and disabled people, Muslims, and list go on have been asking for and those pleas led to her businesses being brought to life. As a result, we've brands be more inclusive and diverse because the acclaim and of course, profit that Rihanna's brands garnered.

If it needs to feel authentic, and something that fits with the celebrity's public perception, and something that they have a lot of experience with, and are widely known to be affected by; then when are we getting Dan Toomey branded extra small condoms for the fast busting gentleman?

These entertainers want to appear like smart business minded people to be on forbes covers with turtlenecks and taken seriously as classy business savvy people and not entertainers that used to be reserved for those like Jay Z, Bridgit Mendler Celine Dion and Martha Stewart. Like that one kid in school who bought glasses and read books for a few weeks but went back to being a clown

CELEBRITIES: In a society obsessed with trying to force everyone in the world to acknowledge and heavypet each of our own special little personhoods, they allow us to avoid all risk of developing any ACTUAL real personalities of our own instead of worshipping theirs! 😅
