After Goblet of Fire kicked things up a notch in the Harry Potter Universe with the death of Robert Pattinson’s Cedric Diggory, things got REAL at Hogwarts in Harry’s fifth year. With the Ministry of Magic in full denial mode about Voldemort’s return, Harry and the gang had to train themselves and deal with the crazy authoritarian Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher Dolores Umbridge.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix definitely raises a few questions though. Like how was it okay for them to have Harry do public manage on the way to his hearing for doing public magic? Why didn’t Umbridge break down the wall earlier if they knew where Dumbledore’s Army was practicing? Was that kiss with Cho Chang romantic or creepy? Does the power of friendship really solve everything?

    As far as JK is concerned, i won't deny that some of her opinions are straight chocolate starfish, but she can create believable villains and stick the landing. Much more than i can say for Lovecraft.

    mind you….MOST of the problematic plot points ARE from the book themselves.

    which just shows that rowling is an overrated hack that just got lucky with the first 2-3 books.

    there are much better book series out there that have more believable and coherent worldbuilding.

    A wealthy white woman who refuses to let people defend themselves against obvious threats and whose blatant denial of danger can only be in order to hide her own compliance with said evil… Dolores Umbridge is a democrat! I never realized that until now.

    To be fair, the clothing change makes sense. Dudley was finally 16-17, and was actually at the age to finally get the choice of his own wardrobe. He was no longer a kid that was just playing with his toys at home, but a teen that was off from prep school. That was the same point in the movies that they actually started having the muggle fashion actually start to match the era of mid-late 90s streetwear.

    I think umbridge is just supposed to be margret thatcher cuz all brits hate her and americans hate her cuz brits hate her even tho she wasnt that bad kinda like the one pm immediately voted out cuz she thought about lowering taxes

    5:38 "He's wearing a hoodie, and it's a zip up hoodie" "He has no business wearing that!" That genuinely made me spit out my water I was drinking lol literally…thanks man, I haven't had a laugh like that in a while. I've watch 70% of your videos but for some reason they're hard to find, or at least I keep finding ones I haven't seen despite feeling like I've searched the Screen Rant channel or the direct channel.
