The mantra has been AGI will "cure cancer" (solve our energy problems, etc.), and we will have to spend a huge amount of money for data centers to do that.
But the more likely scenario, if one wants to make a contribution to science, is specialized AI, each targeted to a specific domain. This seems to be the orientation of DeepMind, with AlphaFold as the prime example.

THIS!!! right "HERE", is the OVERALL POINT of AI. Do all the calculations, predictions, simulations and anaylysis that humans wouldn't be able to do on their own. If you feed an electronic problem solver with millions of medical cases around the same topic, what do you expect it will notiice in the patterns? On a individual bases, we can study what? 100 cases in a week, but these algorithms can process millions in seconds. When this is the result? that's how you know it's doing what it's supposed to for the sake of extending Life. The scientist just need to keep going and keep evolving the tech. Distributions into hospitals and local regions can be worried about later, look at covid vaccine distribution worldwide. Just find the cures and make horrible diseases extinct.

You have to be more concise, friend. You’re just rambling. AI is just too big now and there are too many people in the YouTube space making AI videos for you to continue to stay relevant with the minimal effort word salad. The lazy AI video descriptions which you don’t proofread suggest that this is a passionless project for you too.

This video is so annoying starting with the fact that it took forever to get to the point compounded by this continuous loop of the same exact video content. It makes it unwatchable and it's unlistenable too because you never get to the point

Although they make wild claims like all other labs— Google is also the only company actually releasing models that have measurable impacts on people’s lives. So in my eyes. Stuff like this— provides affordance to cap. This is line of research is important.

not to dash water on this discovery as it's a really big deal, but there are plenty of ways to flag cold tumors including immuno therapies and clinical trials for treatments like CAR-T which focuses exclusively on antigens
