Honestly, I'm just not seeing the value with this new Pixel. I can barely find any meaningful hardware difference from last year, it feels less like a true generational upgrade and more like a minor system refresh that they slapped a flagship price tag on.

But we all know what's coming, people are still gonna buy it anyway. And that's exactly the problem. Most consumers don't stop to think that voting with your wallet actually works. If we just slowed down and stopped upgrading every single year, we'd force these companies to actually innovate instead of playing it safe with tiny tweaks and calling it a day.

And here's the part that gets me, if sales drop, the component suppliers, especially the memory makers, are left with all that unsold stock. They'd have no choice but to slash prices just to get rid of it, and that benefits everyone in the long run. You don't have to be a finance expert to figure that out, it's literally just supply and demand. Super obvious, yet here we are.

When are the US phones ever gonna catch up with Chinese phones' silicon carbon battery capacity? My Oppo has a 7500 mAh one and I've never managed to kill it.

prices are getting more expensive , caused by the phone compaines as they are all investing in AI or have their own AI services lol. Its just greed at this point

It feels like Google is recycling things from previous models and previous companies. They need to do more research and innovate more. The chinese companies like huawei and the xiaomi do things better for less

One of the main reasons I bought the Pixel was the speech to text which works offline. It's incredibly shite and Wispr is infinitely better. Though doesn't work offline.

Step 1: Buy all the Ram in the market
Step 2: Push updates to existing phones.
Step 3: Announce new phone with lower RAM and charge more for it.
Step 4: Compare camera samples with last year's phone with latest update and claim new ones are better even though the only change is the software update.

I don't understand this hardware obsession. I'm on the pixel 9 and never for a second I thought to myself..I wish it was faster. I think 99% of users don't use any apps that benefit from a faster chip than I have in my pixel 9. No one cares if the Gmail app opens 1 millisecond faster. It's just marketing.

The features for price was the only reason I went with Pixel Pro for my last two phones. Lose that and lose me. My 9 Pro is still good enough.

These kinds of demotivating reviews are the reason for the OnePlus exit! I mean Asking questions "do you really need to buy the pixel 11". Iphones are more or less the same from one generation to the next and these reviewers often used to justify 60hz display iphones… Iphone 16 didn't get any AI updates and still these reviewers didn't say a thing.

I've been using pixels since the 2! but with my most recent, the 9, it definitely felt like not much changed, and my previous was the 6!!!

my 9 now has a dying screen, so it's time for something new. would you recommend I try the pixel 10 pro fold, or switch to Samsung, apple, etc?

5:00 Maybe this hardware crisis can being one positive. Sd cards. Since there's a shortage and pricss are so damn high so storage maybe companies can bring back the sd card option mind you mat maybe 50 cents cost to them and the user can get a 256 gb, 512 gb or 1 tb card.

I first had the Pixel 6a,a very good phone for its price range, then upgraded to my current Pixel 8 one year after it's release, which was a great and notable upgrade in the camera department, construction and display.
Seems like the best value upgrade option would be a 10/10 pro on a good discount.
