Joey walked right into that one and he deserved it, doesn't matter how the steak actually was he was going to say it needed sauce to get it for free. This is literally a situation where 'The customer is always right in matters of taste' applies. He paid for the steak he can do what he wants with it. He was being smug about it in the beginning, but once Joey came out he was in the right.

I grew up on A1 sauce.. now it is utterly sacrilege. Give me a nice rare steak with butter. yum.
I had a friend who met me at the oldest German Beer haus in Cincinnati (Meclenbergs ) she had the audacity to order a BUDWEISER at this place.. They didn't serve Budweiser.. Cincinnati was one of the biggest German Beer producing cities in the country at one time ….

Honestly, the worst part isn't even that he wants A1, it's that smug "If you sell steaks, you have steak sauce" like oh, my bad, I didn't realize they hired you to do inventory for the restaurant. My apologies. Would you kindly tell me where in the back it is since you clearly know so much more about it than I?

This is one of the few I disagree with, taste is up to the person eating. I don’t care it is a 10$ steak or a $1000 steak, you are in the business of customer service (and making money). I understand getting them to try it first, but supply the sauce (or similar) they want if they still want it.

A1 is umami in a bottle. It is designed to round out the fatty and rich flavor of good and bad steaks alike.
Chefs who think it’s a cover up sauce don’t understand flavor, and probably need their food covered up.

Chef Joey lost as soon as he offered to pickup the tab on the steak if it wasn't to the customers liking. Even if he liked it, who wouldn't say otherwise and save themselves $60?

Straight up, ever since I bought and tried LiteHouse brand Ranch, I've never gone back to any other bottled Ranch. It literally is the best Bottled/Jarred Ranch I've ever had. Glad the customer at Bistro Huddies knows this as well! 😁

Taking your own sauce to a restaurant is living life right. Fuck everybody's opinions, do what makes YOU happy regardless of how "weird" it looks. I'm totally saying this because I do the same shit, but aint my fault restaurants only stock basic-bitch sauces and never anything unique or with a nice flavor.

I saw a chef throwing a guy out for asking for mustard. It was in the French alps though. Customer service is a bit different there!

I think the rule of thumb should be if the restaurant doesn't have extra napkins and other sauces(ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, etc) already on their tables…don't expect them to have A1 on hand to ruin your steak.

yeah Joey is WRONG. the guy is entitled to DROWN the steak in A1 if he likes, he IS paying for it. Joey just cooked it, he didn't give birth to the dang thing. These chefs need to let people eat what they want

Back in my day nbc would never alow a cage match to happen on normal television he said about 5 times for people he didn't hear a d oh yeah them refs are very inconsistent counts and says he's only commentator to every wrestler or whatever other than pat eventhough cole king booker have all wrestled

I never put A1 on my steaks at a restaurant. I will, however, regularly ask for it to go on my fries.
