I have always loved Exodus and Holt's guitar work. The man can really write killer riffs. I can't stand their current lead singer (Bob Dukes I think) though.

Why do fans think that faster = good ? Playing shitty music faster doesn’t make it better. There are slow tempo songs —Kyuss’s “Demon Cleaner” or Krokus’s “Screaming In The Night,” for example— that are better than your average thrash band’s entire catalog.

Exodus is as OG as Metallica but unlike Metallica Exodus is still writing some of their best material. Hard to say that about any “vintage” band but with Exodus it is true. Rob Dukes has turned out to be a great fit for the Exodus sound.
