I dont get people like this. Like i know there are people who just wanna pick fights and stir shit but why. Why go to a place to order something you dont want just to pick a fight with the staff trying to get it for free when you can just… go to a place you actually wanna eat at

Many years ago I was driving overnight from Western NY to Boston, on I-90 which has a lot of rest stops. ARound midnight I pull into one to get some caffeine and there is a woman demanding to know if the mango smoothy was made from fresh mangoes.
At the Burger King.
At a rest stop.
In the middle of nowhere.
At midnight.

I've seen customers like this when I was a server in my 20's and it was always a ploy to get their meal comped or discounted. I wish the chef I worked with would have stood up to the people who pulled this crap, but they usually had their meals comped and never tipped.

It's such a bummer that this isn't even a slight exaggeration. I've had a near-duplicate of this conversation (about almost any menu item you could dream of), spread across several years and nearly every kind of establishment. These people are (charitably) societal carcinogens🙄😬💀

I thought that all commercially-fished salmon was flash-frozen on the ship to kill parasites after being processed ( which means gutted)? Even the salmon sold as "fresh"?
