Foundations of NAGPRA: Sovereignty and Subpart A

In this training from our 11th Annual Repatriation Conference, you will learn about the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act and its regulations, including where to find them, how they work together, and the fundamental purpose of the law. We will also provide strategies for interpreting the Act and regulations, foundational understanding of Native sovereignty, and specific training covering the foundational concepts including free, prior and informed consent, right of possession, applicability, duty of care, and cultural affiliation.
