Stand-up comedian Ben Moore defends a movie from the past that hasn’t aged well, while explaining the plot to his much younger friend Jordan Elias (who hasn’t seen it). Hilarity ensues.

Was this movie written in an afternoon? On drugs?
Also, a quick look at Irish history suggests that pot of gold went missing a LOT.

As an Irishman, I must add that it's partially based on true events… Leprechauns got humanised and had to find careers mostly in finance, marketing, politics. They did not loose their greedy, lying, money grubbing habits however.

Does the song the leprechaun sings go like this? "If you can't be, with the one you love honey, love the one you're with"?

I watched this movie as a kid in the 90's by accident once. Thinking it was somehow genre related to fantasy films like The Never-Ending story or Willow from that era. I spend decades trying to convince a friend of its existence. Since I could never remember the title of the movie. I genuinely spent the better part of 15 years believing I had a fever dream once about a singing leprechaun, whose magic turned a man into black person and hippies that danced in the rain on a commune where they invented Newports. He thought I was out of my mind. Which admittedly I sounded insane when talking about this movie.
