The birdie Bunch was a lot better than family affair and you may be right. He never cracked the top 30 but syndication is where it really took off and if you compare that to family affair, both are probably still showing somewhere in the world, but people care more about Mike and Carolyn and the kids then they did Buffy the Vampire Slayer or wait a minute I mean, uncle Bill and Mr. French and those kids

I wasn't always able to watch the show, but I remember when Uncle Bill tells the kids that Giles French was returning and Nigel French was leaving. (S1 Ep26). I didn't know it was part of the CBS "purge". Lawrence Welk was on ABC and continued in syndication like "Hee Haw" which was purged from CBS.

The one Family Affair episode that stood out for me was the one where Buffy was getting frustrated that she couldn't do whatever she wanted. She vented her frustrations to Uncle Bill, who decided to show Buffy doing everything you want without rules doesn't work out. He told Buffy he would create this world called the land of "do as you please". It was a land where Buffy could do whatever she wanted with no consequences or rules to abide by. At first, Uncle Bill thought he made a mistake by creating the land of do as you please, but by the end of the episode, Buffy figured out that doing whatever you wanted to do wasn't as fun as she thought.

So exactly where can I find Mr French's vest/jacket? I've looked every where . It looks striped… is it striped or is that an illusion?

My sister, Valerie Fitzgerald, was married to Gregg Fedderson, (Greg, Sissy’sl boyfriend) when they were very young. The stayed married for a few years but married maybe to young. 🤷‍♀️. I remember going to the Fedderson’s home many times, Don Fedderson, the creator of the show. I am 13 years younger of my sister and have a lot of good memories there

When I was young. about 5 years old, my parents owned cabins, a gas pump, store and boat rental in the East Kootenays in BC. It was a place called Moyie Lake, population about 100 including the surrounding 😢area. Sabastion Cabot stayed there for a week. My one claim to fame. We were told to stay away from his cabin and to not tell a soul he was there.

Johnny Whittaker says that Keith was a marvelous human being who always had time for the kids on the set. The kids could play and roughhouse with him, the one rule being dont tug on his rug.

I wasn't aware Anissa had to still make appearances after Family Affair ended.
My understanding Anissa was glad the show was over because she hated carrying the doll.

If you look closely at the early episodes, there isn't a latch on the front door. You have the handle in the middle of the door on both sides but no latch or lock on the narrow side of the door. Lovely apartment though, I wonder what it would cost today?

That show freaked me out when I was a kid. That apartment didn't seem to have any actual dimensions or center. All the rooms were small and I never knew where I was. It was like a claustrophobic labyrinth. Even the patio felt like it was another inside room. (and of course it was) The unspoken family tragedy always seemed like some pretext for this imprisonment. And the children seemed even more robotic that the Brady Bunch. Really gave me the creeps. Couldn't get through a single show.

I remember watching that show as a little boy in the 60s, though why I have no idea. And do I remember the kid who played Jodi being in some show in which he played the littlest angel, or am I imagining it?
