Facts About Julius Caesar’s Love Life
Anybody looking for Julius Caesar facts is bound to find something interesting along the way – namely, his wild reputation for sex. The ancient Romans didn’t have the same hangups about sex that many societies do today; much of Julius Caesar’s sex life was considered normal by their standards, but not all of it. Caesar had a few alleged preferences in his sexual relationships that made him the subject of mockery, some of which could even be connected to his death in the Senate.

The Romans went by prison rules when it came to gay sex for men. If you were pitching, you were manly man. If you were catching, you were considered perverted and or weak.

I'm pretty sure bisexuality back then was more astonishing and frowned upon, than it may seem…! The fact that Caesar was bisexual astonished me.

First thing this made me think of was Lindsay Duncan's performance as Servilia in Rome the series (2005-07). She killed it, and so did the show, which btw also had a decent Cleopatra.
Great video, though I can't believe you went to the trouble of blurring out all boobs in all the ancient art you showed..😑 The Romans would have laughed!
