This is even more interesting given the recent announcement that FB Messenger is losing end to end encryption. Wish I could ditch the, but Grandma is on it and it’s the only thing she knows.

A minimum wage worker getting a $150 speeding ticket loses ~1% of their yearly income. A $50 billion company getting fined $13 million loses 0.026%. The worker gets punished about 38x harder.

I wonder how some of these actions do not carry criminal prosecution. Paying fines is nothing to a company like Meta, it incentivizes them to do something like this or even worse again and again.

erhm?? why did the story stop there ??
There is more. Like how he co-opted with other big tech corporation to buy a person to run for president and purchased their way into the government to remove the push back from the government that was protecting the citizens of the free world from fascist corporations recordings of citizens.

The story is so much longer still. And today it continues as well. But you literally missed the last decade and everything we know so far.

Gotta share this as this just happened to me a few hours before commenting here.
I Used my friends fb account just now (with consent).
I saw that one of the pages i’m following on her fb feed with a tag “{my name here} is inviting you to join this page”
Was obviously frustrated coz 1. i know i didn’t invite her but fb is making it seem like i did.
    2. What if i want to keep the pages i’m following a secret to others? Now i can’t coz apperently, they can just claim i invited those random people anyway.
    3. What if it was a dangerous page or a scam? They put my name there as if it was really me coaxing them.

With that. I’m thinking of just unfollowing every page i followed or just deleting my fb entirely.

fern is now owned by private equity. This makes me question the motives behind videos like this. Does the Private equity firm that bought them have a stake in a facebook competitor? Make this video, fern!
